yeah, there really are.  I think we need to really really clean up the number of pinned topics and just keep the necessary ones, or make a forum specifically FOR pinned topics.

I always use new post button so I never notice.

Could we not get rid of many of the pinned items, and add them as hyperlinks in the news section like this?



It would also make it easy to jump to the Wicki from any page.

When i first joined the site, i thought "this is a dead forum" because all i immediately saw were the pinned topics.

I just joined up at another forum and was totally shocked to see zero, zip, nada stickies! I didn't know what to do, it was quite nice.

I have seen forums where all stickies are in ONE stickie at the top.
