Hey everyone,

New to this forum, looks like a ton of good information.  Just bought my girlfriend a 1993 gs500e for a starter bike (and maybe for me to screw around on a bit too ).  I ride a big cruiser myself and that isn't so convienient sometimes.

Anyway, the point of the thread is that the rear end of the bike is all stock and really needs some help, those massive blinkers are terrible!  The bike is painted flat black so I dont think a clear lens light would be best back there.  What I would really like to find is a Clear Alternatives integreated LED tail, with a SMOKED lens.  I have found the clear lensed versions several places, and it looks as the smoked versions were produced at least at some point.  Could someone point me in the right direction to buy the whole unit, or at least a cheap place to find the smoked lens?

I have never seen one smoke for the GS... You can try an R1 tail light like mine.. You may find a smoked one of those... Or they make paint that blacks the red ones out... Not the best option but its there 

I know they make the smoked version for the newer styles but I don't think I've ever seen an old style rear end with a smoked tail light. 

just buy some vht nightshades and do it yourself. way cheaper.

A friend used it on his car... It looks fairly good.

you control how well it comes out. multiple coats and wet sanding in between the coats usually yields sweet lookin results. read up on the stuff. tons of people use it to smoke their tail lights on cars.
