I have a 1995 gs500e with 21000 miles on it. I had the tank off to deal with a leak and saw that the stock airbox is in, however there are K&N stickers on it, so I'm guessing it has a K&N drop in filter.  I just purchased a Hindle suporsport slipon muffler with a 2inch inlet. It is 16 inches long. I am having a local exhaust shop fab up a pipe and weld it on. I'm unsure if this bike has ever been rejetted, but after this exhaust its going to need to be anyway.

Ive read about Mikuni jets and dynojet jets and the concensus seems to be that the mikuni are the way to go. I've done a bunch of maintenance and light performance work on cars in the past, so I feel wiht a little guidence and the repair manual that I'll be able to rebuild the carbs and rejet the bike. I need some help knowing which jets to order and what settings to run them at. I am in Kutztown Pa, so my altitude isnt too high. I've read the wiki over and over and sifted through many threads, I just wanna make sure that I buy the right stuff. Please let me know the full name/serial number of what I should be ordering.

I found the site motorcyclecarbs.com and they seem to have a wide selection. Is this a good place to buy?

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys/gals can offer.

If the buddha doesn't reply to this thread you should PM him, he generally knows what he is talking about and will tell you exactly what you need and then you can even order jets from him  :thumb:
