I have no idea how to fix it. Before isolating the leak itself i ordered a gasket and realised i have an oil leak coming from a couple bolts under the left hand case cover. It's not the magneto gasket, it's the bolts right next to it going strait up

it's the second and third bolts from the top on the right hand side of the oil sump thing

any idea how to stop this? or is it due for an engine breakdown which i could never afford. It only leaks after prolonged use and when the engine is hot. It's not constantly dripping but it gets on the kickstand and leaves a tiny puddle of a couple drops from time to time.

Well, if it is only leaking a little bit of oil, it might just be something to keep an eye on... Check your oil level frequently so you don't kill the engine if it gets worse. Post pictures when you get your camera back and I'm sure someone will help you figure out the solution to stopping the leak.

It's dripping down the oil pan but is coming up from above where the bolts are facing straight up (this is kickstand side)

it seems a whole lot worse after i had changed my oil. It's coming out all over the right hand side. It's not from the oil pan, its above that. Bottom half of the block? or the side cover thing? i'm hoping it's within my mechanical ability to fix but it is a little daunting.

from your pictures it looks to me that its leaking higher then where your thinking it almost looks like its coming from behind your sprocket cover.

Might be the pushrod oil seal

It's fairly easy to pry out with screwdriver and insert a new one , but first open up the sprocket cover ,clean the area and spot the

exact source of leak ,it can also be from alternator gasket

Agreed. It's probably coming from behind the sprocket cover. Likely to be the pushrod oil seal, or could be the oil seal on the shift shaft, or the output sprocket shaft. You will probably have to clean out all your chain lube / wax gunk buildup, get it nice and clean in there, and then let it leak again on your next ride to determine the source.

Not 2 worry -- it looks like a very small leak. Just keep an extra close eye on your oil level. Top up when needed. Repair when able.
