OK I am temporarily stopping the carb work, the shock splitting, and the other weird ass crap I have done ... like side stand extending and other 1 off's.
Bars, guards etc etc etc are still getting made.
The main goal is to get the big things - bikes done and outta here. Cant do it if I am shipping stuff all the time.
All the ones I hvae committed to, and are on the way etc will get done.
I may still do shocks ... but just buy test and sell. That's quite fast, just no powder and paint circus.
Cool.

Seriously kiddo ... bring it over with a shim assortment (maybe get that adjusting kit ... cos ... may need that tool as well) but I got the feeler guages and the rest of the tools and we'll do it.
Heck you were having carb issues too, both ... 1 hour ... you got K&N right ... crap, you need to have it cool for the valves, so you cant ride it over.
If you do ride it, how about we get carbs in 10 mins and after we get em back on the bike we can douse it with water if needed and then do the valves.
I'm serious. Weekends ... juet let me know, saturday afternoon/sunday all day is fine.
Cool.

Fred - OK you managed 8888888 miles on the thing, you can figure it out.
If you still wanna send it, if you're not in a hurry, maybe end of this month should see some progress and I can think about other stuff.
I am just trying to get the race bike, the fried starter bike and the FE swap bike out, as well as the 4 I got dead, one sitting for years, one unknown, and 2 needing reassembly ... once they are all out, then I am in good shape.
This weekend should tell.

Cool.

Aww, thanks Buddha. This is the project bike, it only has about 30,000 miles on it, mostly on account of its not running well at all, I'm sure. I'll try and figure it out. Right now the motor is apart in the shop at work because some PO tried to remove one of the buckets with what looks like vice grips. Once the mangled the bucket without being able to actually remove it, they just ground the corners off of a shim and stuck it in there. Once I get that whole mess back together, I'll try and make the carbs work again. I dropped a crush washer in the bottom half of the engine, so now I have a gasket kit for the whole bike, so I can do the gaskets myself...

The Buddha

Crush washer in the bottom ... ha ... the nightmare scenario for most newbies ... but its also in most cases very very innocous.
It should get in the pan, and never move from there. you could pull the pan in a few 100 miles and get it out. No biggie. I am pretty sure I've dropped my 10mm 1/4 drive socket in there.
I had to go in after it, cos that was my best socket.
Cool.

..and the universal sigh and "son of a Buddha Loves You!" follows almost immediately.  I've got to make sure the kids aren't around when I work on *anything* because I'm always going to drop a screw or tool in some place I can't get it easy.

I got it out. The engine was already out of the frame and work has a boroscope and a grabber tool... I was able to get them to go in the oil pan, then drop the pan and get them out. It a few hours, and wasn't the most fun thing I've ever done, but it worked. When I do get the engine back together, I'll be confident it won't leak for a while, given that pretty much every gasket that can be replaced will have been... My gasket kit is supposed to be here Tuesday, I can't wait.

Its two months buddha......... I think thats long enough chance for you to save money by waiting.... Theres a point where it just ceases to be cost effective.
