So yesterday I installed the kat rear shock and .85 sonic springs.  I love them.  Its a whole new bike.  Stiffer suspension by far.  I will play around with the settings on the kat shock also to see if I can find a favorite setting.  Install was easy and I kept the 10 w oil in the forks because im not very heavy (175) compared to others 10+ pounds more than me that said .85s were to stiff.  Oh and by the way, putting the fork caps on was a P.I.T.A.  It took me and my dad about 20 times each to compress the spring enough to twist the cap on without cross threading it.

On a side note, Sonic Springs is awesome.  I ordered my springs in the morning and they were shipped that night and came in two days later.  Talk about service.  I havent had to call their costumer support but they do have lifetime warranties on their springs so that's awesome.  Ok, enough free advertising.

Awesome.

I ordered .95 springs from Sonic Springs the other day so they will hopefully be here and installed Monday (Kat shock too  :)).  Got any tips for the caps, or was it just on that 20th try it finally worked?

Push down really hard and make sure its going in totally strait. Its hard to get right because of the angle you are looking at it, but if the cap isn't perfectly lined up the tiny threads won't match and you can't get it on.

Congratulations on the suspension improvements!

Yeah support the front end good, only do one spring at a time and put the socket on the cap put all your weight on it, pushing it down into the groove. then turn counter clockwise :cookoo:, Yes I said counter clockwise, until you feel the cap drop into the threads a few times then turn clockwise. make sure you put three or four good turns on it before trying to let the weight off. One or two threads will not hold the pressure back and it will force the cap off and into your EYE.. :icon_eek:... lol
Current project:
Mmotos full body kit (YOU DONT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... READ MY THREAD BOOT STATE UPDATE)
K&N Lunchbox
Buddah's jets
CBR F2 rearsets
Ducati pass pegs (Modified)
Kat rear wheel
Carbon Fiber Exhaust Can, possibly shortened and relocated
And so on......

Yeah and take the weight off the front.  It only helps a little but any help is needed.  What I did was I sat on the back of the bike while it was on the center stand to put all my weight on it, then my dad squeezed the cap down.  We tried other ways but that worked.
