I've had other bohn items.  (elbow, shoulder, and back)  You should try to see it in person first.  Their armor is quite different than everyone else's stuff.  It's pretty bulky and weird foamy material that doesn't conform as well as other brands.  You can always tell where the armor is when it's on.  I felt safe enough in their product and am not saying it's bad, it just wasn't for me.

So I guess the answer still is no, I haven't tried those pants...so take it for what it's worth.   :D

What is it?  Expanded polystyrene foam or something?

I don't know how to explain it.  It's not nearly as dense and rigid as a typical piece of armor.  Kind of like a rubberyish (I invented a new word) version of a camping mat you'd put down under your sleeping bag.

Neoprene?

How thick are you talking about?  I don't wanna look like I'm wearing Depends.

My dad has their boxer brief style armor for hips and butt. You can't tell that he is wearing it so its not too bulky. It is weird stuff almost like a really dense piece of that temperpedic material. I dunno, its okay stuff but I wouldn't want to hassle of an extra layer all the time and it seems pricey for what you get.

I've been kinda looking for something I can wear under my jeans as well. But with the temps here in Florida I don't know how an extra layer would feel. I can't wear my suzuki pants this time a year without pouring buckets of sweat. I was facing the wear the pants and face severe dehydration vs wearing the jeans accept some vulnerability and only sweat pints.

I do have this jacket but ironically it really doesn't look like that on me I do wear a t-shirt underneath and it is no where near as hot as my gxair!

so no I don't know about bohn but would like something as well!

You may want to consider this:

I wear a KNOX back protector and their knee pads. Their stuff is high quality, very good stuff. I'll probably buy these shorts eventually since I don't like having my coccyx exposed.

Already broke the coccyx once.  Now it's tucked out of the way, permanently.

I know the stuff you're talking about now.  I've got a back protector like that.
Crap.  That stuff doesn't breathe at all.

Bluesmudge, does your dad's have perforations?
Probably those little tiny pinholes that get clogged with sweat and stop working.  Crap.  Great idea, bad execution.
