Looking to install a full exhaust system on my 2006 GS500 F.  Can't find much other than this Jardine system.  Was wondering if anyone new of any other brands that offer full systems.  Or if anyone can tell me that the Jardine system is worth the 385 dollars I would spend minus shipping.  Thank a lot for the help.

I have the jardine system cause i couldn't find any other full systems for the gs really either.  The wiki is probably the best place to look at what exhausts are available.  I def think that the jardine was worth the money.  I went with it over a slip on so that i wouldn't have to worry about sanding and painting the pipe ever few years to prevent rust.  The full stainless pipe with aluminum can will definitely pay for itself over time in my opinion.

What does the Jardine sound like? I like the stock sound but love to put stainless or aluminum pipe on it. Only had to paint mine once but then again I don't ride in the rain much and I wipe the bike down before putting it away.  :cookoo:

Then stick with the stock exhaust - an aftermarket exhaust is going to be louder.

I'd spend the money on suspension...    ;)

Well I am not worried about louder I just don't want it sounding like a Go-Cart like the VH and Yosh do! I think it makes them sound silly IMHO.

Unfortunately, putting an exhaust on a mostly-stock GS500 tends just to make it sound like a louder sewing machine... ;)  I've done exhausts to two different mostly-stock GS500s, and have to admit, looking back, that I sounded like a loud lawnmower.

My track GS with the Kerker sounds like no parallel twin I'd heard before, but the engine mods are not minor, and that probably makes the most difference.  I wouldn't want a bike that sounds like that as a street bike anyhoo - I leave for work early in the morning, and my neigbors don't need any more reasons to dislike me.  :p

Understood, my buddie bought a Zephir 550 when I bought my GS in 1991 and he put a Yosh on it and it had the best sound I have heard to date. Wish some one could figure out how to manufacture out the "Sewing Machine" sound with out engine mods  :thumb:

Ive heard different stories on exhaust systems,  That its like riding a new bike...  I don't find anything i don't  with the stock suspension, except that it is a little soft in the rear for me and another rider. but other than that it does wonderful.  I know my bike has more than 108 m/hr.  even with 250 lb rider on a limited budget.  I figured re jetting the carbs and exhaust was all i could really afford and do in my garage easy enough.

I have a Wileyco (pronounced vay-lee-co) carbon fiber bolt-on. The power delivery changes, more usable in the low end, but it definitely didn't add any noticeable power over all. For me the gains are sound, looks and having a pipe that will never melt or burn anything. That last one is a really nice feature for me because I have soft saddle bags and no garage so I like to be able to throw a cover over my bike without waiting for the bike to cool down. This won't be the case for all pipes, just carbon fiber and titanium.

Sound has never been an issue.  After looking at the WileyCo website, They didnt have a full system for the GS500F, and i only saw one full system for a suzuki model, Thank you though.  Slip on mufflers are pointless to me.  Like putting on chrome muffler tips on a crappy car.  Is there anything that can be done to increase performance without breaking a budget?

I have v and h on my bike I shortened it like 5 inches or something like that. But I think it sounds like a 450 motocross bike.
