I guess that explains why all the streetfighters from Europe always look amazing, and all the streetfighters from the US are always just spray painted black. They could never get away with building their bikes if they didn't look like that.

i dont get it   :dunno_white:

I was making a reference to how strict they are with modifications in Europe with the MOT inspections. In the US you can pretty much get away with riding the biggest piece of junk as long as it has 2 wheels and some kind of headlight on it.

My comparison was an american streetfighter:

compared to a european streetfighter, which people actually put effort into:

You couldn't get away with some of the stuff people do to bikes here.

I'll take that american street fighter any day over this european one, and twice on sunday.

However the garbage that we see on the streets atleast in my town is ...

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/mcy/1437730088.html

That bike if you can even believe it, looks even sheittier in person than in the pic.

The paint seems to have separated while painting and the exhaust headers have a big flat spot in them on #4 cyl. It misfires and coughs at most low speeds.
It also has a bent radiator.

Street fighter in US means I crashed and forgot to fix it.

Lowered, raked out, chopped, gets a lot of attention etc in cruiser parlance means it has flat black paint, rods for rear shocks and generally weird lights and stuff sticking out everywhere and he cannot tell between good attention and bad attention.

Literally I like modding bikes and if anything is external, you should not even notice anything is different. It should look like it is the way it was from the factory.

Cool.

And yea sorry I aint buying a 1/2 framed honda clunker no matter how many billions honda has spent convincing the general populace that the frame doesn't have to cover all the load points.
The american one on top is a better bike to start with and its a better job ... sometimes less is better.

"Crashed" is replaced with "Fought with the street"

in the same way as idiot management tries to replace

"Problem" with "opportunity"

And then pretend that there are no longer any problems. Just all these opportunities.  :icon_rolleyes:
1990 GS500EL - with moderately-ugly paintjob.
1982 XJ650LJ -  off the road for slow repairs
