I would personally consider a "power wheelie"  to be one where you do nothing but twist the throttle and have the front end come up. Definitely no clutch, and I don't really consider standing up to bounce the bike a "power" wheelie, it's questionable whether it still counts as one if you're accelerating, let off the throttle to compress the forks and twist the throttle again, since you're not using power and the springs on your fork. As far as a ninja 600 doing them at 70mph. Probably not if you're still sitting down and not using the clutch, but I could get my Triumph speed four to stand up with no clutch at 90mph, so a ninja would definitely stand up at 70. I had to stand up to get it to do it, but still, had a bit less power than other 600s that came out in 2003 when my bike did. I wouldn't be surprised if a current 600 could lift the front wheel in 2nd with the rider sitting down and not using the clutch, but I've never tried it, so I can't say.

right thats what i said, power wheelie is no clutch, and i never said i use the forks to help me bounce up either. and the ninja 600 doin 70 wheelies, yea i agree, theres no way your gonna just power in while sitting at 70, but you could clutch in and ride it out, or stnad on the passenger pegs and maybe get it with a newer 600, i was just trying to help describe what a "power wheelie" is cause he was thinking its just a really fast wheelie.  my friend has a 89 (yea, that old) ninja 600 and he can power up in 1st and 2nd, but theres no way he'll power up at 70, thats what i was baseing my statement off of, and i know newer bikes will make it easier, but a 600 still wont put you up at 70 while sitting

its OK his comments just show his ignorance.   the guy on youtube that stunts a gs is running a 13/50 something if i remember right and i could sware that he has said he still has to clutch it up if running much over an idle so.  now i guess ill take my huge 12 yr old turd backside off to another thread.  let me know how your power wheelies work when you get up from your nap and have your morning bottle and get burped. :thumb:

Yeah I knew you weren't talking about clutch, but I'm never sure if people are talking about just twisting the throttle, or twisting, letting off to compress the forks and twisting it again, and apperantly some people still consider it a power wheelie when they're standing up and bounce the bike if they don't use the clutch.

An older 600 definitely won't pick the wheel up at 70 without the clutch when you're sitting down, but I think you could convince a newer (2003/2004+) bike to do it if you knew what you were doing. My triumph felt like it wanted to, but would never get the wheel more than an inch or two off the ground, and that was 97hp, newer 600s are putting out way more power than that now.

so the 12 tooth came in and the inside hole is too small so im not using that. i think its spose to be for a dirt bike but hey, 8 bucks it was worth a try. so im ordering a 14 from bikebandit tonight.

Homer

I'll sell you the 14t off my '93, if you want.  Shipping will be faster than Bike Bandit's typical 2 weeks (for me).

PM me, if you want it.

Homer

Nevermind, you can't have it.  I've decided that I don't like you.
Your teenage hormones + my sprocket =  a serious accident that I don't want on my conscience.

By the way, I'll take that apology:

no that was the weird thing, same amount of slpines, just smaller size.

and homer all those comments were not duck comments. none of them were mean at all.  the "um....turd....." one was the only mean one and was cause he called me a turd.  im not one to pick fights on the internet
