Ive been toying with the idea of cutting off the left side frame support entirely and chopping the right side ton only enough for the exhaust. I have no intent on carrying a passenger so it wont bother me. I however dont plan to own the bike forever (maybe another year or so) and was thinking that it might hurt the re-sale ability. Any thoughts on this? If i sold it to someone who also liked the look then it would be a plus but otherwise kill a sale.

I think it would hurt the value, you never know what interests a potential buyer might have.

I think it really only makes sense if you're going to modify the bike in some other way that makes 2up riding impractical, like single seat mods, or turning it into a cafe racer, etc.
