ok, first off it's a 96 modded...with, Gasp...dynojet jet kit, jardine exhaust and kn lunchbox...trouble is when i start it in the morning or after getting off work at night, 7pm or 7am...bike takes a while to warm up, has to be choked...i''ll let it sit and with the choke on the idle revs up to like 4 grand or so and i let it warm up and blip the throttle a little bit, when i turn the choke off it doesn't want to stay running, it will almost die or will die if i don't engage the choke a little, i'll continue to let it run with the choke on a a little then get on, kill the choke, rev it up to keep it running and take off, also problem arises when gettting to my two or three little stops before i get on the highway it will almost die or will if i don't give it gas, it's like the idle is set low, so half the time i'll reach down and adjust it to get it to run and idle..then after it's warmed up i'll get to a stop and it'll wanna idle and run at like 4 or 5 grand..then i get to readjust the idle back down...wow...sounds like a freakin lot of problems, any help and please don't scold my nooobness on getting the dynojet kit instead of buddha's...any help greatly apprecdiated...in fact if i could goto the buddha kit i might see about getting it.
on top of all this the bike runs pretty awesome on the road and sounds good...i like it alot being my first bike etc.. it's a different bike with the mods i've done and pretty enjoyable...like i said except for this whole starting and idling thing...

also i've been looking at getting a camcorder or hd handheld recorder etc.. probabaly be really awesome/helpful to record what i go through and post on youtube...has anyone done that before..? ....

leave the choke half on while your riding until its hot, then turn it off

slowly adjust it down as it warms up to keep the idle at a reasonable level if you are at lights

through carb cleaning wouldn't hurt. if that doesn't help check for air leaks. I had similar problem recently. Bike popped, took super long to warm up, but run pretty good once warmed up. Turned out it was broken cap on the carb niple (the nipple used to balance carbs)

good luck with finding your problem.
