Had some issues with the cam software not cooperating. I'll be going back in tomorrow to finish up.

Looks great man! +1 on the simple plates to adjust stock rear-sets.
Also, I hate to say it, but if there's anyway you could model the the pegs after one of the current aftermarket designs, as far as bolting on at lease. It would make it easier to replace in five years or so if we can't get a hold of you..

I may try to pick up some cheap aftermarket pegs and see what it would take to use them instead of making my own. Damn pegs take forever to make from scratch.

INCREDIBLE! looks amazing, really nice job

Now...any chance youd be willing to share the code for the CNCing?  :icon_mrgreen:
Or maybe ill just take a number and wait for a batch if you sell

I was thinking of trying to mill some stuff for my bike but never had the umph to do it haha

I need to try and make another set based on the tweaks I made today while I was milling them to see how long they would take to reproduce. If/when I sell them, they're certainly be a lot cheaper than comparable rear sets on the market. Can't imagine why so many sell for $500ish, etc. Nuts!

$500 plusish cause they know people with the 10 and 15,000 dollar bikes will pay that much haha

Dude, those are hot! I agree that finding an aftermarket peg would be benefecial to all of us but those look good too.

Hell, it'd be beneficial to me too. Takes too long to make the pegs. At least in the current style. That knurling on the pegs took probably an hour.

Nice looking sets.

There are a few companies that make assorted pegs that screw onto mounts for different bikes. The pegs are the same (different color or style) with the same threads or with a hole for a bolt & nut. Just browse the catalogs and find a company that has a nice assortment. Then you either have a bolt for them or a threaded shaft they screw onto.

That's how I got off the shelf aluminum pegs for Junior. Dealer found the company with a GS500 mount then I selected the pegs in the style and color I wanted. The mount had a threaded hole and the peg bolted to the mount.

There are lots of aluminum pegs on ebay. Same peg and screws onto the mount, just different mounts for different bikes. Pretty cheap. Like $10-$20 a pair. Buy those and throw the mount away. Voila - inexpensive stock aluminum pegs in assorted colors and styles.

That should save you lots of time and replacement pegs would be readily available.

For your racer types, these rear sets allow for an increase of approx. 2.7 to 4.6 degrees of lean over the stock pegs. The 2.7 increase is even with the pegs mounted further down and forward than stock too.

A completely assembled pair of rear sets weighs in under 700 grams.

skirecs

you could water jet those and run them through a router or even a belt sander

or a vibratory deburrer and then power-coat or anodize

would be really quick and really cheap

An interesting point. I looked into water jetting. Only thing I don't like is the sharp edges it gives. I'll have to take a look at routing the edges.
