avoid rx7's theyre maintenance intensive. well tehy can be if yo wish to drive one alot. and fuel economy sucks. ive got a vert needing an engine, and im not putting a rotary back in it. can get better fuel economy by using a v8 ( 350 sbc) or teh 4.6 police engine out of my crown vic. but that sunfire  would be a good car :) if taken care of and not dogged, tehy last forever. with minimal expsnse

Yup...the RX-7 is a fun car, but crappy mileage and almost no torque...rev like a banshee though...

Cavaliers and Sunfires always got a bad review, but everyone that I know that has had one thought it was a great little car...one guy was a Civic fanatic until he bought a Cavalier...he thought it was the best car he ever owned...build quality isn't the best, but they are reliable and have decent power and economy... :thumb:...can't go too far wrong with a Corolla either though...

Dude...come on; they're DOGS.  That's what pickup truck beds are made for.  Dogs love trucks.  Throw 'em in the back!

Did a little research and found a bunch of dog options for the tacomas. People take some wooden boards, cover them in automotive carpet and fit them back there. Definitely looks like a good option. I'm gonna see what kind of deals I can find this fall.

You could always pick up a s10 blazer they are pretty easy to get parts for , not the greatest gas milage though . Also they 'll take you about anywhere you want to go . I've had several and had a blast with every one so far . Heres a few pictures of the one I have now .

Really, it's getting pretty hard to point out a truely crappy car that is being made these days...even in the last 15yrs...most cars and trucks will last over 300,000kms (187,500miles...sounds more generic in metric... :icon_mrgreen:...say 200,000miles...) before you start getting into real mechanical issues (transmissions, engines, etc) as long as the routine maintenance is done...

So I would just pick what is best for you that you like the looks of...

I loved my RX7. Friggin awesome. Sure it cost me with needing new seals and when fixed the guy said this is where the problem came from - still unfixed - so I'd need to replace those same seals again unless I specifically got the cause fixed. I couldn't believe they didn't fix that too. But like he said, I didn't ask him to. Duh! When you drive one of those, you don't give a flying fark about fuel economy, you don't buy an RX7 for fuel economy or torque. You buy it for what it is... a chic and hoon magnet that goes like the clappers.

I'd buy the sucker back if I could, that's how much I liked it.

I had a similar experience with a mechanic over an issue with a different car.  That mechanic is an arsehole.  I never went back to him.  When they deliberately don't share important info with you so they can make money off you twice for essentially the same repair that's your que to go elsewhere.

Wish it would Quit Raining and Snowing so I could get this Damn Car Fixed.Between the Weather and the Freaky Ass Crazy neighbor Bitchin at me from across the road It doesn't look like I'll ever get it done.Dude Raised Hell because someone turned up the road on a Motorcycle and turned in his driveway. He Immediately Cussed them and then started on me.He kept up for over 2 Hours.I finally went into the Shop and He pulled out and Burned the tires off of His Nissan Titan.I left a few minutes Later and as I was Passing him on the Highway He flipped his High beams on and Blinded me.Then He stopped in the road and watched me go out of Sight.I knew if I went to the Store I would wind up in Jail in the Next county.Jail there Sucks from what I hear. :icon_lol: so I turned around in town and was going back to the Shop.As I Expected He passed me again. :icon_rolleyes: So I called the Law and talked to the Deputy for close to an Hour. The Dude has Already been Arrested for Shooting at my Cousin and a Couple of Friends. He only got 1 Year probation out of it and they let Him keep his Pistol. :icon_rolleyes: He's Also been known to call the Law on People for throwing wild parties when all they were doing was Grilling Hotdogs. :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes: If He wasn't Crazy I would have already Stomped His Ass.But I know if I do I'm going to be the one going to Jail and I can't afford it right now. >:(

I had a neighbor kinda like yours , he broke into our house and stole a bunch of stuff and we found out it was him . By the time I confronted him he said his brother had my stuff and that he would get it back , well that went on for a couple of weeks . And then one morning my wife was giving me shaZam! and told me to confront him again ( I'm not good at confronting people I tend to can mad and just start swinging) so I popped the keg, poured a big pitcher and went to his fathern laws , I didn't even have a sip and he walked in I talked as calmly as I could and he was like f%$k you then it happened I drilled him in the nose followed up by a few other head shots as he was falling out the door . He started running for his house and I was hot on his tracks (that was a bad move) He called the cops on me and the cop was a real ass . All I got was a ticket that cost me 195 bucks and I took him to small claims and got all my stuff back , except the 195 that I had to pay for punching him .Aahh good times .

Nice clean lookin' Bonco...'93?

Here's my dog hauler...

They would both suck in the city though...@tt_four: I think a Honda Ridgeline is what you should look at...maybe a Nissan Frontier...they are just so much more manoeuvrable in the city...

I thought about a ridgeline but I don't think they have space for a bike in the bed. I haven't looked much into a frontier, but I'll check it out later. I'm still leaning towards the Tacoma access cab. I've never bought a used(or any) car before. I was shocked when I looked up the quote online and saw that the $19500msrp truck jumped up to loan payments equaling $26000, haha, that's quite a jump just from taxes, interest, and whatever else they're charging me for. They added on shipping/handling/processing(which is just a scam because if I don't have the option to not pay those things for a truck, it should be part of the msrp) of about $1k, so the tax should be $1435, bringing the total to about $21935, which is still pretty reasonable. Looks like it has about 19% interest. Obviously the interest rate would depend on my credit, which is good, but I'd still much rather buy a couple more used motorcycles for that kinda money. I think I'm going back to the used truck market haha.

Thanks! yeah the bronco is a 96 XLT 6" lift and 35-12.5x15

I bet it will...
