So I bought a new yuasa battery just recently after the old one burned out, and it was an emergency so I could only get one identical to stock but for one feature, the exhaust outlet is on the opposite side making the stock hose is too short. Got me thinking about rerouting all those three hoses poking out the side of our bikes to somewhere out of sight.

Has anyone done this before? Or had any ideas for a mounting point for that wire clamp?

Andrew.

I recently changed my battery and the old one was in there for a few years without the hose every even connected.......

One thing I need to repair on my bike is a bit of frame rust, a lot of which is concentrated below that runoff. On occasions that hose can release fluid which its corrosive, or so I am led to believe. I don't like thinking about that potentially dripping on my chain, shock or anything but tarmac really.

But I am a bit fussy sometimes...

Search around for a "battery catch can". I think the last one I got was from jcwhitney.com.
