hey all. just got my insurance check, and they didnt keep my old gear.. so everything not damaged is staying.. im looking for a set of gloves..but i have a complaint.. the cortech scarab R.R's and the A* Thunders i have both seem to not want to stay on.. the velcro is not holding anymore.. it sucks cause i paid almost 80 bucks for the A*'s and they have lasted me maybe 4 months.... the cortechs have been slid in,. but i think they are ok for future use..

how can i avoid the freakin velcro problems..

i had seen a glove out awhile back that used a wire setup on the cuff and you would twist the knob to tighten it... <<<<i like that<<<<<

I'm still a big fan of TourMaster, and have a set of Carbon ColdFront II's (10yrs), Winter Elites (2nd set, 10yrs old; 1st set 14yrs (still have)), and a fully-perforated summer set of complete cowhide gloves with carbon knuckles that they don't make anymore (comparable to the Adrenaline glove).

How long have you had the Scarabs?

A*'s boots have a notorious history of going through the velcro, which they will replace.

Had the scarabs since christmas morning lol!
The gauntlet closure is too big. And a small was too small. Anyone know what I'm talking about (the glove with the twist locky thingy???)

I have a set of ARMY gloves with armor. They are tight, feel good, decent padding, and soft leather right out of the box.Not sure what company makes them.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

I just bought some Icon Patrol gloves and it works great in the cool SF weather.  The glove is nice and thick to keep my hands warm but still allow me to operate.

Best to go to the store and try them on.
I have Icon, Furigan and a couple other brands. I like them all. Different thickness for different temperatures and wet or dry weather.
Don't have problems with the velcro on any of them.

i tried on both a SM and MED in the cortechs at Southern Honda Powersports the smalls were too small, and the medium were... "ok" and a large woulda been huge..

i finally found the gloves i was thinking of.. the KNOX Hand Armour...series.. anyone used those??
no more flippin velcro and they look amazing!

I've got a pair of Cortech Vice gloves for warmer riding, and the velcro on them seems to be behaving so far. I've got a pair of Harley Davidson gauntlet gloves I got off of craigslist cheap that I wear in cold weather, those use a leather strap like a belt to stay on.

Something from the Knox line?  Handroid perhaps?

No idea what your talking about. I like the Fox bomber gloves but some reason I freaking lose those gloves all the time. I've never lost anyother glove. Right now I have some Icon GSXR gloves (on sale for $25) not alot of armor but great for summer. I also have a pair of Speed and Strength gloves that I got for Christmas they were $20 at Motorcyclegear.com I like them but too hot for Florida summers. For the velcro coming off couldn't you just cut a matching piece and glue it back on? I've yet to have that problem.

Fox Bomber gloves! Thank you for reminding me of the name, Mary... Those are my Summer gloves.

Winter, I have more than one pair but the go-to gloves are from Chilhowee and are Deer Skin. Love 'em http://www.chilhowee.net/motorcycle-gloves/GL-IM008.html

I have some old AGV gauntlets that I like. NewEnough (now MotorcycleGear) has several models of current AGV gauntlets. Mine are old enough that nothing current is exactly like them.
