I have re-drawn the wiring diagram I found online so it's much more legible. I have it in PDF form and wondered if it was ok to post the file on the forum somewhere? Moderators, is that ok and where should I post it if it is?

What year is it for?  The diagrams change almost evey year..so If you're using the wrong one for your year, you may get into trouble.

Diagrams for all years are available online if you know how to search....but of course this is copyrighted material so I can't tell you that, and you can't down load it.

The secret word for today is: Parts Shark...........

And you didn't hear that from me.......

Quite a few wiring diagrams have been posted. Many are quite high quality, so no need to redraw them.
Redrawing one is lots of work for what is already out there.
Just google this:

Funny thing is, I thought people would be excited to have a high quality drawing to reference when working on their bike.

But part of the reason I did it was that I wanted to be able to isolate a particular circuit. I do this kind of work for a living so it really took maybe 2 hours. Which is well worth it to me to be able to actually read the diagram but also because it is a vector drawing, I can cut a paste any part of the drawing that I want to isolate to troubleshoot. The drawing is the US EK Model from the GSTwins Wiki....didn't need to Google it!

Ohh, btw the secret word for the day is useless for Suzuki.

While your work is appreciated, they are around in high quality. I printed copies at 24x36 to hang on my bike cave wall. "E" and "F" versions. Both laminated and on waterproof paper. While I though of offering 24x36 prints, that would be copyright violation so I just print them and hang them around the bike cave for handy reference. Higher quality is available other places than the WIKI. You just have to search a little.

I don't think its that people don't want a wiring diagram, but most of us have it and posting it could be copyright violation.
You might let people PM you for a copy. Then the board is not subject to copyrights. Or put it on your site and maybe post a link. Sometimes people do that, sometimes the links get removed. I think it depends on who is monitoring the board and how they feel that day.

OP, I'll take a copy if you could PM me?

If you have it in ladder diagram form(rather than the faux-pictorial diagram it is), i would like a copy.
I keep forgetting to turn the petcock on before i bolt down gas tank. :(

I don't have a ladder version, the version I have looks just like the picture adidasguy posted. Sorry!

I had a copy of that diagram, but the hard drive it was on died a couple of weeks ago.  I definately had the one Adisdas guy has on his wall.  Anyone have a link or a copy?  Trying to get an electrical problem sorted today, and without my bike I'm stuck at home without transport.

^^ Found it.

I don't see this as a serious copyright breach.  Haynes didn't design that schematic, Suzuki did.

Yea, that looks like the "E" one I have. I printed off a bunch on waterproof paper. Since you have it, it would be considered just printing it for you. PM me if you want an 18x24 print. If you staple it to a garage wall, waterproof paper doesn't wrinkle up with changes in humidity. (Have extra "F"'s in 24x36)
I have a 24" wide printer in my office so I can print stuff 24" by up to 50 feet long.

Looking for a simple drawing showing a simple wiring diagram just to run the engine without alternator and all light and accesories

Open the file in "ms paint" and erase all the stuff you don't  need.  :whisper:
