Going to Munich for Christmas. Decided to see what bike shops were there so I can pick up some GS500 accessories. Saw this - never knew there were REAR crash bars for a GS500F

Not that I need them, but I'll bet I come back with some pretty cool GS500 accessories. I hope to pick up some more  LSL levers for the clutch and brake for the GS500's. Save on  shipping - just had to buy a plane ticket.

Wow, I love those pegs!

Easy enough to drill a hole in the stock oil filler cap if you need to safety wire your bike.

I've never seen rear crash bars before, cool idea but then you might as well get pannier racks so they serve a purpose as well.

WOW do they sell training wheels for the gs too

Oil filter cap is a nice part, though the shame is my rules would still require wiring up the 3 mounting nuts.

And yes, wiring the GS500 oil cap is a pain in the ass.

Please do not miss the point of the post:
I was amazed at what there is in Germany for GS500's. Thought you might enjoy seeing there are aftermarket parts for GS500's elsewhere in the world.
That doesn't mean I intend to buy some that stuff.
I'm thinking I WILL find some cool stuff that I will want to buy - like the pegs.
Remember what comes from Germany: LSL Levers, Gimbel rear sets seats and stuff and a couple other companies are there.

Dude I dunno why germany ... but I'd wait for greece to leave euro zone and go there, then when Italy does, go there ... then maybe Ireland.

Germany = German engineering and lots of GS500 parts.
Italy = Tarozzi which is clueless why their rear sets don't fit a GS500 - even when shown pictures.

Was in Greece earlier this summer. Athens is a huge city, but you can see most of the attractions in about a day or so. The islands were great... Spent time on Santorini and Naxos... I highly recommend the hiking on both of them. Hike to old Fira and between Fira and Oia is amazing on Santorini. On Naxos, for the love of god, climb Mt. Zas.

Must be because the GS5 was the best-selling motorbike for many years there. Huge amount of aftermarket stuff.
The oil thermometer w/filler cap I once had came from Germany, and the guy I recently sold my 'screen to - and who coincidentally told me he'd just bought a '91 GS with 12000 miles on it (yes, twelve thousand) - said he was waiting for a new handlebar and risers to arrive. Guess where from?

I think I'll get back to you on this ... how do you think it is for a dark skinned uppity Injun punk who thinks he's made it and he's too good to vacation in India (not me the wife - apparently going back to India isn't a vacation any more) And oddly neither is going to say sierra's to ski etc ... possibly cos I would enjoy it too much.

My significant other is Indian. We had absolutely no problems there. (Not sure exactly what you mean by dark skin, though.) And, yeah... From some of her experiences, I can imagine why going to India might not count as a vacation.

Called "pigs knuckles". It is the end, broiled so the skin is crispy (sort of like fried pork rinds) and the meat is soooooo juicy and tender.
Any meat in Europe is better: they do not allow all the hormones, antibiotics and growth hormones that our government says is OK for food. another reason the Europeans are not as fat as us: no growth hormones.
