Hi,
New guy here from NH.
Just traded a friend for a 89 500E and a 2004 500F.
The 89 hasgood motor, 2000mi on it, PO hit a black bear, front end messed up.
The 04 has 18000mi, PO never checked the oil, siezed up and went down on the highway, no title, so I got some swapping and fixing uppin to do.
Happy to be here !

erik, from the netherlands! 32 years old, got an gs500 from 93, love it. Did a lot of things:

- revised both brakes
- both brake lines  hardened
- change rear suspension to gsx 600f suspension
- dogbones for maximum rear height (looks nice)
- changed front sprocket <1 smaller
- dyno 3 (k&n airfilter & dynoject needles)

I runs great!

Thanks for putting together this great forum.

I just picked up a 1998 GS500E last Friday and am looking forward to getting out and getting riding!  It's my first bike since almost forever and so far its been great to me.  I was concerned with the stories of the GS500 being cold-blooded, but even after sitting for a day or two in the non-heated garage, it fired right up.

Can't wait to keep digging through the archives and learning more about my bike.

Thanks.

Hi Brian welcome, please throw a pic of your ride up and come and say g'day in the aussie section.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Hello all,

My name is Mark and I'm from Boston. I just picked up a 2005 GS500F last week. I normally ride a supermoto, but decided to add the GS to go on longer rides. So far I really like the ride. It feels like a Caddy compared to my SM.

What kind of Cb400? A 75 to 77 or the later model? Either way, welcome to the site!
