@Xune No mirrors?

Right now I have the fairings back on, so it has the stock mirrors. But, once I get the 89 clip ons, their comming back off and I'm making a mount for the headlight. In those naked bike pics, I had a bar end mirror on the left side. Will probably have the same bar end mirror when I go back naked until I get a nice set of bar end mirrors that aren't strap on.

I've never rode w/o at least one mirror!

I have a Yoshimura TRS exhaust debaffled. Sounds pretty good for being a 500cc twin. Bonus that it shaved off enough weight to be noticeable when compared to the lead-lined solid-block-milled cheapo OEM exhaust that ships with it. Remember too, the GS500F has a cat installed and you'll have to chop it out to get it to sound better. It sounds muffled even without the baffle in if you still have the cat installed.

I picked mine up for 250 on amazon. Worth every penny.

Yesterday I got the one Redge had posted onto the bike.  Cranked it up and it sounds okay.  Better than open header anyway.  I left the baffle in.  I'll get a clip on as soon as I get my fuel delivery issue fixed.  Always something,....

Finally got a quick video this evening.  I really needed to run the bike since I haven't started it in too long.  My opinion is that it sounds okay.  I'm not a big fan of super loud and it seems much better than the retardedly loud open header.

WOW, just wow. im loving it. I was afraid it will sound too much like HD, but it still got that sporty sound. nice, may pick one up soon ... or two

redge

Btw, thanks cbrfxr67! Hope you get ur bike in running shape again soon. Was it as easy as cut and slip on?

cbrfxr67

Super easy.  I just used my heat gun on the header and a dead blow mallet and pounded it on, then stuck a clamp on it.  Still need to do the bracket that was included with it but not in a rush.  For the money I'd say you can't go wrong.  I really liked how small it is.  Inspired by the great Seamax, I wanted something tucked under and small.  Thanks again for posting this redge.  Who know what I would've found otherwise.

I like the sound, not a big fan out how it's placed under the bike but hey everyone has their own opinions.

Really tempted to get one now :)

Sounds good.  I'll reserve judgement until I hear it on one of our bikes first.

Very nice. Better than expected. I'm only pissing in the wind here, but maybe bend the pipe in just a tad, (if you have a bender) a little closer to the wheel. Just in case you have a blonde moment and step on it, in turn shearing off the manifold bolts. unless you welded on a new support for the exhaust?
I don't know,
but it sounds surprisingly good.  :thumb:

I want an I4 GS so bad...

Does the renntec crash bars add Frame? rigidity?

I really want to stuff an I4 in my bike once I get my garage.

Being I love how it looks, I'd wind up just getting emulators fo rmy stock forks. I love my euro clipons!

Also would construct a tube rear subframe for just the stock bare seat. I love how it looks on the ducs, And I want to keep myself open to stock seats in-case I ever go down. Plus the fat passenger seat is great for 2-up.

How about shoehorning one of these between the frame?

This is one of those 25 dollar cans right? I'd like to see the numbers, jetting, and backpressure on one of these. It can't be good for your bike. I guess people will pinch a penny where ever they can though...

redge

Yea come to think of it, will re-jetting be necessary?
