Before I rip my engine apart yet AGAIN!  :technical:
Asking first, even tho I probably will rip it apart anyways.

There a certain way to install engine gaskets? the one below the cylinders and above it.
I put them in the right way, just not sure if I might have missed something.

and do they have a break in period?
when brand new, they will leak a bit until settled?

My new ones are leaking quite a bit.
Im not sure exactly which tho, maybe both.
I have yet to clean it all up and check as the engine was too hot to do it earlier.

and would liquid gasket be safe on the outer edges of the meeting points for added seal?

NOT about to mess anything up at this point lol

The factory head gasket and cylinder head gasket have "UP" marks in them.  I don't think you can put the lower gasket in upside down (I could be wrong).  A gasket should seal correctly from the beginning, there isn't a break in period.  Adding sealer won't help.  Start by checking the torque of your 8 cap nuts on the head bolts.  If the leak is from the cylinder head it could also be from the o-ring seals.  Good luck   :thumb:

I'll check the O ring seals.
forget what they exactly look like, can they be replaced by just a regular O ring?
got a box from harbor freight of all diff sizes.

(edit)
Im sure your talking about 9 in the diagram right?

or it could possibly be the head cover gasket.
I didnt replace that but didnt notice any indication it was that.
I also didnt check thoroughly yet.
Will tomorrow when I wake up

(edit for below)
kk if my income tax gets deposited tomorrow.
I will stop up the salvage yard and have them order me new O rings and a head cover gasket as well.

No, they are very special O-rings. They almost feel like they are made out of metal. A normal O-ring would not stand up to the heat, I guess.

When I replaced my top-end I didn't get any leakage. I made sure to completely 100% totally clean all of the old gasket off all mating surfaces. used brand-new OEM head and cylinder base gaskets. Also replaced the O-rings and copper washers. Torqued to spec.
