Well after nearly 2 weeks of crappy weather, waiting for parts working around work etc. I finished the bike off and kicked it over. Bike has new steering head bearings, new handlebars, new foam grips, led gauge bulbs, and I've cut my spacers in my forks to the length they should have been. And managed to film alot of it so tgey will be up in the tutorial section soon
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Well today I adjusted my dashboard on the bike. Silly thing was vibrating (basically done away with the top silver clamp cover). Fitted the dash slightly over the key lock rather than under. Problem sorted, no more super loud buzzing!

I installed new shims as I only got half way through adjusting the valve clearances last weekend (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=53366.msg680055#msg680055) and then put everything back together. I hadn't started her up since Dec 12th of last year so I threw the battery in and she fired right up!

I must say I was a little nervous after the number of hoses and cables I had disconnected.

Went to take PITA for a short ride tonight, because I haven't ridden her in a few days, and she wouldn't start.  Fiddled with the petcock, checked to see if I had fuel, started to get frustrated, so I decided to check the floats to see if there was in any fuel in them, and I found out that my carbs had completely FALLEN OFF of the manifold!   :cookoo: :dunno_black:  I installed a lunchbox the other day, so I'm wondering if it shook loose because there's no airbox to help keep pressure on it?  Anyone else ever had that happen?  It's something I'll certainly be keeping an eye on.

Re-adjusted the clutch cable, since my previous adjustment moved the friction zone far more than I wanted it to move.  Then I proceeded to stall it because I didn't notice that I wasn't in first gear at the red light.  The car behind me wasn't too happy, but they can deal.

I'm thinking that I may have just worked it loose when I was putting the lunchbox on.  I've got them as tight as they'll go now.  I'm going to take her out for a ride later this afternoon, so I'll check it periodically.  Hopefully it won't happen again!   :bs:

Changed the oil and filter (just 10W-40 Suzuki brand oil), removed fairings, replaced stock spark plugs with NGK Iridium's, cleaned everything then put the fairings back on :)

My bike is loving those spark plugs. Much better performance  :D

Here it is on Flick sorry bout the quality cell phone pic at night. It matches my saddle bags perfectly  :thumb: I do wish it was a smidge bigger so I could put my netbook carry case in it. But, I've just turned it into the netbook carry case being that it does have a rain cover. And it did do well in the rain today. Figures! Wash Flick and deluge today :dunno_black:
