I'm reassembling my GS and having trouble getting it to start .... It's not turning over so I'm staring to look over everything ... Were does the black wire from the starter go?  It just makes clicking sound whether that wire is connected or not

So out of alllll you gs owners no one can tell me were the black wire off the starter goes?

ooooooo kaaaayyyyyyy.........

Pictures of where you have things would help.
If you mean the black wire connected to the starter motor, it connects to the starter relay. If it is connected there and you need to know where the other end goes, it goes to the starter motor under the cover below the carbs.

Like I said, pictures of what you have will help tell you what goes where.

The wiring diagram is your best friend on where things connect. There is one on the WIKI or google "GS500 wiring diagram". Haynes, Clymer or a Suzuki service manual have the diagrams, too.

Remember the starter relay will click if the kill switch is on or off.  Also know that you must be in neutral or kick stand UP for bike to run. You have the clutch switch in (or bypassed) or you wouldn't get the starter relay to click as it is in series with the start button.

One other thing that helps due to minor differences is what year your bike is.

PS: Did you connect the ground wire from the battery to the frame of the motor?

Ok thx a lot its a 91 I hooked the wire from the starter to the relay and it still makes the clicking sound but its very very fast and honestly about the ground Idk I'm just putting the harness back in the bike but I'm checking

Fast clicking means dead battery (or nearly dead).
