which windscreen?

Here's where im getting my windscreen from for my 07 gs500f:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-07-Suzuki-GS500F-Zero-Gravity-Sport-Touring-Windscreen-SMOKE-/230734856447?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b8de80ff&vxp=mtr

I'm just not sure which one. Im thinking either double bubble, or sport touring. Double bubble looks cool, but I don't know if it'll serve its purpose all too good. It looks alot smaller than the sport touring one.

Also if anybody has one of these, does it help alot with the wind? Does it help it all with the wind coming from the sides? I doubt it, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

Thanks in advance. :)

That's the kind I want, they look sweet!  O0 adidasguy has one on Suzi, and I'm tryin to get it when he is ready to change it out!  :whisper: They push the air up higher, of course, but noooo side difference that I know of  :dunno_black:  Post pics when ya get one  :icon_razz:

Definately will post piccs when i get it on. Im glad to hear that they're good. Lol. It makes me feel better about spending $100 on it. Lol.

I have to make up my mind before tomorrow morning. That's when i'll be ordering it.

I love the looks of the double bubble, but it doesn't look too far off from the oem windscreen.
Im hoping that if I do get the sport touring one, it wont look big and goofy.

Double Bubble definitely looks the best.   :thumb:

Pretty sure that's what im getting. Double bubble looks so nice. I did just notice that these are gsx-r's in the pictures. Do the gsxrs and gs500fs have the same fitment?

Probably just a generic picture.   :thumb:

dark smoke double bubble ftw :

I ordered mine from 2wheelpros.com without issue. fits great and cheaper than your link.

75 + 15 shipping = 90 total.

I don't like the look of the touring, even though I'm sure the touring would deflect wind much better. this double bubble was night-and-day difference though from stock windscreen. it deflects the wind much higher up, so it no longer slams me on the chest. the wind now usually hits the upper portion on my helmet. I instantly noticed a greater sense of ease while riding, and more confidence. deflect wind from the sides? not sure how that would ever be possible. go double bubble.

That looks really nice!  I'm going double bubble.  :D

You say it hits the top of your helmet... Is the wind on the helmet loud?

Totally ordering it tomorrow morning.  I'm gonna go with light smoke. I have a black and silver bike.

Also... can i use paypal with this site? I just cancelled my debit card... Shouldn't have done that.  >:(

I ordered the touring version last week in clear, should be getting it tomorrow. The double bubble version does look sweet, but the wind on the freeways is killing me so I went with the touring version instead.

leprakong

I tried to use the link you gave me, wildcat, but unfortunately, I can't use paypal there.  So, I'll have to go with the ebay one.

I just messaged the ebay member selling the windscreen asking if I could get the double bubble one, because the description says "sport touring."  Hopefully I could put a side note with the order saying that I want the double bubble.  And just to be safe, I asked if it was for a GSX-R, or a GS500F.

Once he messages me back, I'll be ordering.:D

You got it!  Oh and here's where I ordered mine from in case you are having issues with ebay:

EDIT: Looks like they don't have the double bubble so never mind :)

leprakong

Gerr.  Guess I can't use an E-Check with the ebay one either.  Well, I'll be using the link that wildcat posted to get it once I get a new debit card.  Shouldn't be too long before I do.

CrownSeven

Just got it the Touring version installed on the bike.  Glad I went with clear as it helps to hide how tall it is over stock.

That looks really nice. How's it help with the wind?

CrownSeven

Haven't gotten a chance to really take it out, but I got it up to about 50 and there is a noticeable difference.  Like others have said, the wind is deflected much higher towards the top of your helmet.  And you can actually hear the motor a lot more instead of the wind which is nice!  She's a keeper!

Bluesmudge

How tall are you? I have considered the touring screen like yours but worry that it would just throw the wind into my helmet instead of my chest or over the helmet and actually end up being louder. I'm 6' even. Take the GS up to 60 or 70 or 80 and let us low how she does.

zute72

I rode home from the bike cave with the double bubble screen on today (speed 65-75  :police:) and its better than stock, but I am sure the touring is better  :dunno_black: (I'm 5'8") It was super windy on the highway and it did well, plus it looks hot!  :woohoo:

CrownSeven

Took it on the freeway the other day, hit speeds up to 75 mph, and yes the touring shield does make a big difference over stock.  I'm 5'8 and the wind is now deflected to the top of my helmet now.
