Stared at it while flushing the pitch black ATF out of the Xterra. Took 15 quarts of Nissan Matic J.

Heard every bike go by wishing, hoping, but no ride for me.

Just bought my first bike a 93' GS500E on Thursday pretty good condition just needed some love. Spent literally 6 hours yesterday cleaning every nook and cranny on it and it still needs some more cleaning. Wheels took the longest seems the PO never cleaned it. Tons of grease and oil on the white wheels to the point they were mostly black/gray, but now they are nice and pretty.

Removed the lower half of the fender to give it a more open look and not a huge shovel looking thing.

Replaced all of the indicator light bulbs and cleaned the colored plastic pieces for each indicator. Replaced the Speedometer/Tachometer bulbs as well as fixing the broken needle in the Tachometer today. Much brighter and visible even during the day. Still lots more to do this week though :)

Looks like a Cappuccino with chocolate (maybe caramel?) syrup and chocolate powder?  Or I could be way off, lol.   :thumb:

That beverage is a hot chocolate. Cappuccino style milk on the top, chocolate sprinkles with Chocolate butterfly from a cafe called flutterbies.

Junior got all spit polished, cleaned and lubed up for his first real test ride with the frankenstein of a motor. WOW!
Test rode Junior. Blue skies, 70* and oh, damn, the ferry to Vashon leaves in 10 minutes. I better get there fast.
Oh, well, made it but a GROUP showed up and the ticket taker knew I was alone but the loader guy thought I was part of the group (not enough room for all the bikes) so I had to wait 20 minutes for the next boat. While waiting, I met a friend from the gym who just recovered from an encounter with a stupid cager on a cell phone and a broken wrist. New Duc! Then I saw a GS500! I forget his handle here but he's from mercer Island and lurks on the board. Looks like the West Seattle GS500 Club has a new member!

And I think Junior is sexier without the belly pan.

The GS500 I met waiting for the ferry (left) and friends new Duc from the insurance settlement (right). Who would figure meeting people at the ferry dock? That's Seattle biking! We legally go around and bypass the cars and get to load first!

I disagree :nono:
Bellypan is definitely a better look for Junior :thumb:

Formori

I cleaned her a little yesterday and then rode her to work this morning in the 3 degree (Celsius :thumb:, not farenheit!) fog and drizzle. The cold isn't nice but the ride to work is more fun than in the cager! :D

Took off the wheels, once UPS gets here I'm off to get my new Pirelli Diablo Rosso II's installed.

Well yesterday I pulled my petcock apart looking for the source of my starvation, ended up pulling my carbs and discovering a layer of rusty powder inside my bowls do cleaned them up, discovered my po had also cleaned the carbs and broke off the plastic tabs inside the slides and re glued them, despite my efforts I wasn't able to. So with that I went onto my valves and all of them are sitting on .03 so time to open them up plus a new gasket and orings for the bolts are in order. What a morning.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.
