Q:Why did they decide to call it the "Harley Owners Group?"
A:Because the term "Special Ed" was already taken.

I got a new riding buddy...

New helmet, gloves & jacket...boots are coming...

We went for our first ride that night (June 2nd @ about 10pm)...rode down to the coffee shop & had a coffee and cookie...(she had hot chocolate, not coffee)

We went for a better ride today, but no pics were taken...I'm pumped about getting a riding buddy...but now my bike is all wrong, need something a little bigger to accommodate a passenger...

Later.

It was summer solstice the day before yesterday. Not quite midnight sun in this part of Finland, but close. This picture is taken 23:26 at one of my favorite roads.

I had my visor full of insects after the ride, otherwise i love summer and the Finnish countryside.

Wanted to escape the 102 degree heat so I rode to the top of Mt. Evans (14,265 ft.) where it was only 45 deg.

Man, I love your bike's colour scheme. Is that factory?

While on a nice scenic loop with another 919 aficionado...

Earlier we had ridden right beneath the mountains in the background. Next time I'll have to get a shot of those.

Got rained out yesterday. Today was great. I feel sorry for anyone that didn't ride today. There were some cool vintage bikes on the ferry ride back home. I heard there was a VME rally on the island but somehow we didn't see them.

my last ride on the gs...literally

bombsquad83

So we have to ask what happened termlifed?

termlifed

Came out of a blind corner pretty hot only to be greeted by two cars stopped in my lane waiting to turn left and one oncoming car. Timed it to pass between the cars on the double yellow before they could turn. Everything went perfect...until I passed the second car and saw the fender of a third car waiting to turn that was previously hidden from view by the two bigger cars. By the  time I knew it was there  it had already turned in front of me and I t boned it full throttle at probably 50-60mph. From experience I can tell you that flying over the hood of a car is not that bad, its the landing that sucks. Thankfully the driver wasnt hurt just scared shitless. Bikes front end was completely destroyed and it looks like the energy transferred straight back blowing everything that wasnt bolted down off the bike.  Lesson is dont be a squid and play too hard on public streets.

Lesson learned the hard way.  Lucky you are still breathing.

Wauconda, IL after a day that included Full Moon Restaurant in the early AM, then a run out to Lake Geneva, WI for lunch.

My CBR900RR, Jen's Ninja 250, Jennie's 848 Corse, & Gary's Panigale S.  And a bunch of Harleys.

If you can't be a good example, at least try to be a horrible reminder.

Yep - my most ridden place again: Vashon Island. We were supposed to go through the island - arriving at the north and twisties to the south end ferry then continue on to Mima Mounds. Weather was weird so we didn't depart until noon. A few people backed out because where they were coming from (farther north) it was raining. So we just spend time on the island doing twisties, had lunch and did wine tasting. Palouse Winery had a release party and barrel tasting. Fun!
We'll try for Mima Mounds again in 2 weeks.
The day turned out great.
