Cool.  I do a lot of commuting, and ended up with the Stebel Nautilis horn.  135+ decibles.  Fvcking loud.  Hurts the ears.
can you post a pic of where you mounted it. I have one of those horns but don't know where to put it?
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you

Attempted to start it for the first time in 2 years, after putting a few days of work into it. The car apparently ran 2 years ago just fine, with no problems. Sometime between then and now, one of the carbs broke and it developed a fuel leak that seems to originate at the shifter when its on the side stand. That just makes all sorts of sense, right?

Bought this bike for $500, under the (very much advertised) impression that it just needed some chain work, new fluids, and rebuilt carbs and it'd be on the road in no time. I'm very much regretting that decision after what I've seen tonight.

What type of horn did you get?

I gave him a couple spares from the bike cave - stock horns. His original horn didn't horn at all.

Gee iclrag, you need to use different software or something to access the forum. <blockquote> is html not forum html. Something awry on your end.

Nah, I use Windows XP and Chrome and Firefox. It's not the browser putting the blockquote tag in, that has part of the posted text. My browser cannot put text into someone else's post.

Seems to be a handful of posts that have incorrect forum quote tags. I read a couple of those posts last night and they were normal.  :dunno_black:

It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

i made a thread about it... those were from a windows 7 computer, both IE and Safari caused that problem

Reassembled the front end after a Fork Seal job and took it for a quick ride!

The tank was pretty low, and it didn't want to start after sitting for 2 weeks but I was able to coax it to run.  After getting 4 blocks from home it ran out of fuel [?!?!?] so I pushed it to the gas station and put a few bucks in there and it ran stronger, but I had to keep it at 1/8 - 1/4 choke.  Without the choke it wouldn't keep the 1200 RPM idle that it had liked before.

Anyone know what's up with that?  Did the fork job reposition the bike so much that it would have an effect on fuel flow or the carb floats?  Does the hesitating/weakness without the choke indicate a lean condition?  My next job is to sync the carbs and I think when I do that I'm going to remove the inline automotive fuel filter that I had previously installed.  We'll see what that does.  Now that I've got a better front end I'd like to be able to ride the darned thing.   :icon_neutral:

Looks great!

Are those side markers smoked? Linky?

Bought another set of carbs and found the sources of the fuel leaks. It'd help if I routed the fuel lines, vacuum lines, and breathers right. I wasn't even close the first time.

New rear tire to replace the my recently punctured new rear tire. :(

Checked alignment, realized that my "guide" on the axle, left side, is turning and not worth a flip anymore. Turned so far that it gouged my swing arm.  I'm forced to measure it now.

I took her for a ride through the hood, can't believe i'm about to say this, but i wish it was monday!

HeyBRAH202

Gave my baby a nice shower and wax then took her out for a nice long scenic ride on the back roads of Montgomery County, Maryland
