Mesh Jacket Armor

I have a 9 year old Hein Gericke Speedway mesh jacket.  I've done nothing to it besides wear it for the past 50,000 or so miles.  Probably the best jacket I've ever owned.

The other day, I noticed that something didn't seem right with the fitment.  After checking the armor, I noticed that both of the shoulders and the elbows had been reduced into little pieces that looked the size of packing peanuts  :o

Needless to say, the armor was completely destroyed.  Luckily, I found some Joe Rocket armor that fits perfectly since Hein Gericke does not sell replacements in the USA.

So, take a moment and check your armor in your jacket.  If broken, replace!
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Yeah, that has happened to me in two jackets. My original joe rocket phoenix jacket had the elbow protectors disintegrate, and the MotoDry Adventurer Jacket I took to Europe had the shoulder protectors do the same thing, fortunately after I was done using it.
I like a non-sequitur as much as the next Giraffe.

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Once a year. Oh, what a nice smelly, festering mess you must have in there.

Wow,

Once a year  :o I have to wash my Joe Rocket White Mesh at the very least once a month. Due to bugs, road grime, and other street debris! If I don't it isn't white anymore and I know some will say well don't get white. But, when you live in hell ahem I mean Florida the white does wonders! I've also put 6,000 miles on Flick since Feb.

So, far the worst thing was a buzzard that flew out of the way in the nick of time. Unfortunately, he dropped his lunch. AKA I had road kill hit my helmet and my jacket. I almost yacked!

Mary

But, yeah mosquitoes are bad and so are the big grasshoppers!

i used mine sans liner many times. so it was fairly easy to clean on the road. ( turn it inside out, and hose it @ car wach on idle speed ) if you cant make it back home in its current state
