I would get a GSX1250, my local shop has one i could get for $10,000 and it looks almost to a GS500F with full fairings, feels nearly identicle when you sit on them to!

They ride lovely. The front seat is slightly forward slanting compared to the GS. So there is a tendency to slide into the tank while on the go. The steering is, of course, not quite as responsive as out GS - but then most bikes aren't. And the thing is soooooo easy to speed on. And take a corner a gear or two too high and they just muscle out with their torque. Lovely bikes they are. Although I find the small screen sends all the wind right to my helmet. Which is why I prefer naked bikes.

 I'd find an S1000RR on CL and pay whatever the difference is.

But for something more realistic, I'd buy an SV650 or something. Probably put the rest into mods. That's assuming I can only use the 10k for bike stuff.
