OMG they are nasty. Been taking care of some chiuaus this past week. The dog food was terrible and they had krapped everywhere! I literally threw up in the back yard from the stench. Sorry, no way can I like a dog that is smaller than my cat little ankle biters!

sounds like someone didnt housetrain their chihuahuas. as long as feces isnt the cause of said smell, one doesnt stink more than the other. ( cat versus dog ) a cat in need of a bath will smell as bad as a dog. all cats need to be bathed eventually  ( as do all dogs )

Akasha,

Only gets bathed like once a year. 22 claws are painful! She has never smelled. Although, after the bath she is as fluffy as a bunny! But, blood isn't worth that fluffiness!

Pixie and Stitch don't get bathed.
Only time cats had to be bathed was when they got really old and could no longer keep themselves clean.

I've had my cats for over ten years and none have ever been bathed.

They say dogs are dirty animals, I have had three for almost ten years, they have never been bathed, and they don't stink, can you imagine what a human who hasn't bathed or wiped their ass for 10 years would smell like? It would be enough to make Mary throw up in her back yard---she may not even make it that far.
I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are you people.

we used to bathe our cats on occasion a while ago, but those nails are something serious and not worth it, unless there's a specific reason they need bathed. The dogs get bathes all the time. Normally they don't need them, but they always get one any time I take them swimming, or go to the dog park or anything like that. You never know what they're getting into or what the story is with other dogs, not to mention even around well behaved dogs they're bound to come home covered in a big of dog slobber haha.

i only bathe em really if theres a flea problem that needs to be dealt with. ( then flea meds get applied.

A pacific Northwest breed called a "Pixie Bob".
They are naturally bob-tail. Recently recognized by the cat association as a legitimate breed.
They have the personality of a puppy. Mine do some tricks. often they are taught to play fetch. Often Stitch will bring me a toy because he wants to play. usually he waits for me when I come home and greets me.
Pixie is a kitty treat addict. She shakes hands, rolls over and other things to get kitty treats.

Cats are the oldest and most widely universal meme. The ancient Egyptians held them in high regard so far as they were painted on the walls of their temples and tombs, and now they're in our internets, stealin our bandwith.

They're up to something........ :icon_eek:

All of the cats I've had all knew their name and came when called. They all had no problem being upsidedown offering me their belly like a dog. They NEVER jumped up on tables or kitchen benches or the like. And other places. I trained them well.

I've smelt a few at Disney that I doubt they had ever had a shower. Had a whole tour once. Most torture to my olfactory nerve I ever had! Well, next to a GI bleed or a dead person!

I had a cat for awhile but this rental house is no pets so "George W Puss" is staying with my parents and gets spoiled a lot .. I'm ok with cats  :thumb:

Some forum people's have cats and families and bikes .. Some have a cat, a bike and a 'puter .. Can you guess where more of the cat pics come from? .. Yes very good class! The people in the second group! ..

Not hacking on them at all or in any way .. But I reckon they got more free time to watch the cat and do the pics/memes .. I have less time and energy to do that kinda thing ..even in the previous house when the cat was there .. It was see cat, feed cat, watch cat wander to a sunny spot for a snooze or to chase birds.. Then maybe at night cat would condescend to sit on the lounge with us for a while ... The intervening time? Dunno .. I had stuff to do!  :thumb:
