Don't know if this is even feasible, but posted in old thread about donations, but lets see if it'll actually work!

Do you guys have enough random stuff built up to help a man build a working, running bike from a pile of parts?

If you got something, feel free to donate it to me!

When done, if this works, I will start a vote for a gstwin paint scheme, and do it!

Feel free if you got it to send parts that aren't even on a stock GS! I don't care about oem, just cool.

Stuff I have :
Box of bolts
Rear tail light
full set of front fairings (cracked), no headlight or fairing stay.
stock rear turn signals (somewhere)
center stand (missing one of the bearings)

Adidasguy did it.  He made Phenix from a pile of parts.

Wish I would have known this 2 weeks ago.  Could have shipped you randomness from OH, or dropped them off the next time I go to FL to see Mickey Mouse.

EDIT:  Scour craigslist.  I'm sure there are parts bikes and others out there that are being given away for next to nothing.  It's winter after all...

Oh, but this is different. This is a pile of donated parts!  :thumb:

They paid out for the bike, $2800 for the bike, almost 1k for replacement gear and the accessories I had on it (shoei helmet, taichi pants, jacket, gloves, the 89 clipons, crash guards, headlight)

Pat, if your serious about that, I get 4 weeks of vacation this year, I will take you up on that offer.

i has a sad, you let them scrap a set of 89s!

I was afraid that if I took them off, I would have lost the insurance claim.

After she wrote the check, she had me sign the title over, took pictures, and asked me if it was safe to leave it there until the next day when they could pick up their property.

Xune, that's a long drive from WA to where you live.  It would be an epic trip though.

I'm glad to hear they paid out a little bit for the GS. I've always wondered what I would get if something happened to mine.
Just curious, what was the year and miles?
Do you know if they took any off for the lack of fairings?

Check this out.  $400, but depending on how desperate, maybe talk the guy down.  Always worth a drive to Daytona:  http://daytona.craigslist.org/mcy/3434285036.html

EDIT:  Upon reading the CL listing again, may be a lot of work and not worth the repair.

Is it just me, or does that look like Tombstone81's bike?!

Edit: I really think it is! Look at the chain guard, and the swingarm sticker, forkbrace, handle bars and grips, blue underlighting, front sigs, white overlays... the list goes on

Maybe he is in Florida now, certainly is the same bike or a "tribute" bike  :)

Reading Tomb's older posts, he traded his GS for a Honda sometime in August or so:

Just crazy luck about the possibility of this being Tombs bike, that's all.
