Glove keepers. Clip one to the sleeve of the coat and one to the glove so little kids don't lose their gloves.

Or just general purpose tie downs for tarps and covers on things.

Looks like gaffer's or rigger's apparatus?

Ok, Addy is closest.

They are called Glove Guard and are patented in the USA. While, I supposed you might clip one end to a coat sleeve and the other end to the glove for children, I know them only as ways to carry gloves without needing to physically hold them. Such as in this picture...

Many work sites in this country now make it Mandatory to Carry gloves with you - grunt or admin alike - and this is how it is achieved.

There is no way they could tie down anything. The rubber joiner would pop out instantly any load was put on them. I have seen riggers/gaffers use them - to carry their gloves and other lightweight things that need carrying as well.

It is metal.
It does have matching male and female connectors.
I do not think these are used anymore anywhere. They were used a lot in the 60's through the 80's when newer technology made them obsolete.

That should be a really good hint for you!

You should at least be able to recognize the threaded connector.

filter for cable tv to block certain channels or if you have internet only and no tv

adidasguy

Correct on part 1.
For analog cable TV, there were 2 types of filters.

One type was a broad notch filter that would block channels you did not pay for (HBO, ShowTime, etc). Those filters were put where you could not easily access them: on the pole or in a locked box.

The other type was a very narrow notch filter that enabled you to get a station. Some places injected a signal into the premium channels. If you paid for HBO, you would get the notch filter which would removed that injected noise signal in the HBO frequency for your cable system.

The filters were marked as to the type and which channel they affected. Back then, many cable systems ended around channel 39 I think. Some went higher.

The advent of digital encoding has eliminated the need for these analog filters.

Oh, YOU WIN!

sort of related to the last pic and MY last pic

Maybe for gerbils or mice.
It is a little over 2" long.

Maybe a xylophone mallet for a Barbie doll......

Think small.
