You sure your battery doesn't have a drain? Often people buy the wrong battery and the drain is on the LEFT side. Seen it many times along with a train of corrosion down the left side frame.
I thought any battery you add acid to had a drain?

Unless its a sealed battery made fir special occasions. Rather spendy.

This is on a 2006 F (all stock) and it .....
Sure it is all stock? Your photo shows some extra red and white wires running on the left side and over the battery.
The battery looks a little tall.

Check the left side for a drain connection.

As I asked, I thought batteries where you have the little caps to add acid had a drain to vent gas and extra acid.

jacob92icu

Oh yea i forgot the pictures showed caps. In that case yes it should have drain

^^^ Sorry, not trying to be difficult. They are gel cell sealed batteries that have/need to drain hose

Ah I see now. Sounds fancy. Why not just go with a regular sealed battery?

You can see the battery filler caps in the pic posted in usdtmcs1's 1st post above so it must need a drain hose.  If the hose pictured above isn't for the battery it could be the one that connects to the short tube on the bottom of the gas tank to drain the water from the gascap area.  It goes down to the same place the airbox and battery drain hoses go.

Ok gents, I stand corrected...there is a nipple on the battery for the drain hose.  The nipple was just hard to see because it is the same color as the battery cap.  It is now connected and you guys can sleep at night knowing that acid won't be eating away at my foot or frame!

Phew... Finally I stayed up all night worrying. Glad we could help you :thumb:
