The contest: Best single-sintence advice for new riders

Contest ends Saturday at midnight 2-16-13.  This contest is open to all GStwin members.  Moderators, regular users, even the "special" members.

I will be the judge.

Up for grabs:  Citipower cree Q5 flashlight with Hi, Low, and strobe function.  Very tacticool.

I find this important for anything that doesn't have an automatic transmission.

Never shift into neutral when coasting to a stop, you never know when you will need your engines power to avoid accidents.

Lots of ways to say it but sort of...

Ride within your comfort zone.
or
Don't ride outside your comfort zone.

I vote for Adidasguy.  It may be a very simple statement, but when analyzed, it says everything.  Be comfortable.  Don't let others dictate your riding style. Stay within yourself.

Take a motorcycle safety course

Just do it, and pay attention!

Ride for yourself, keep aware of your surroundings and don't worry about what others think.

Always wear a helmet

If you can't see their face, they can't see you or your ride.

Look where you want to go.

Plan on falling off your bike at some point.

Two words..

Gravel sucks.

Anytime you're on your bike, act like you're invisible, and you should make it out alive on the other side!

I can't remember where i heard it or the exact verbiage, but something along the lines of "Cautious riders grow to be old riders."

Remember, it only takes a little water to make the paint on the road slick as black ice.
