My new Philips headlight made the little parking light look yellow and old.

So I ordered a 5 Led replacement, installed it.

Now my new parking light makes my headlight look yellow and old  :2guns:

lol ..  :icon_lol: ... this could be an expensive conclusion... somewhere in the future...

you could try something like this guy!!

and this second video .. to somewhat prove that it IS possible to have too much light?! ..  :D

Nah, I'm good...  Not going to invest in more lights.

If I find the time next week, I'll pop the old bulbs back in, and shoot some pictures: same angle, same camera settings, in the dark.

Went for a short drive with a mate a few days ago, and he actually noticed the new light, said it was a lot whiter/brighter in his mirrors.

The white from the LED is just super white, there's no way a conventional bulb is going to get the same result, so I'm not bothered.
I'm sure it'll grow on me :)

The most dangerous thing out these light is the fact he is driving on the wrong side of the road :icon_mrgreen:

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Got the headlight mounted and the signals, made the bracket with $10 worth of home depot parts

It was so nice I took Junior for a 40km ride with some good highway. (He's Canadian so he is in KM, not miles). Junior is so happy. Running so much better. He had a rather quiet winter after the motorcycle show in December. Glad I have good batteries. Never need a tender even after sitting over a month while waiting for sunny weather.

There is only one success - to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Trying out some clip ons on the Monster to see if I like the position.

Rode to moto shop for brake fluid and new spark plugs. Installed new plugs and new HEL stainless brake lines. Take a look:

Got all my fairings and front cowl 2K primered, then wet sanded, sprayed my silver base and then mixed 3 different flakes in my interclear. Two coats of clear tomorrow. Then they get to cure for two days so I can wetsand and polish before I lay my HOK Burgandywine Kandy.

Can't wait to get this finished.

Finished buttoning up the bike and went to take it for its first real ride since I've taken ownership and fuel started puking from the carbs. Additionally the bike would not go into neutral when running. Pulled the tank off, again and broke down the carbs. They were full of all sorts of gunk so I cleaned them out. Found that the jets had already been upgraded to 145's so one less thing to do! Put the carbs back on along with the nice new K&N Lunchbox and buttoned it all up.

I then checked the oil level and had to remove at least a quart of oil.

Fired it up and took it for a quick ride around the block and all was well. Got fully geared up and took it for a nice 20 mile local ride. Not a bad bike! Rear brake will need to be bled again as it was really mushy. The carbs will need to be fiddled with a little bit more as it bogs a little around 5k.

How flat can you get your clear?

They make a matte clear. It doesnt have to be a gloss.

Swapped the factory pegs back on instead of the Knight Industries.  I think they are just too low for an inseam as short as mine; they might be for sale soon, but IDK.  Also met the UPS driver at the door to receive my new rear tire, a Pirelli Diablo Rosso II to replace the Michelin Road 3 (just a little too wide- too bad  :dunno_white:).

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

You're going to love the new R6 shock. Be sure to download the manual for the R6 so you can read up on how to fine-tune that bad boy - the R6 book is very good at describing the procedure. Download it here:

It's tricky to install if you haven't watched a tutorial. It *almost* fits in there without taking off the tank, air box and battery tray, but not quite. Also, did you need to grind anything off the swing arm to get the new shock to fit?
