Precision screwdriver kit? noting the half err .50 adidas aprt i forgot about the cd thing. i had always used a paperclip. ( and mounted one in a precision screwdriver handle out of my watch collection of tools lol) never paid attn to that clip that DID come with the drives lol

No, not a plotter tip or screw driver. The cross cuts in the threaded part is to let air in. The needle slides in through the threaded end. Along those lines, I've left some typo's on my reply's that are clues. Maybe they will help you connect the dots.

For some reason the site is resembling a bit of a jumbled mess (IE and firefox) - Pictures are not working..

Is it part of a Tattoo Machine? looks like the assembly feeds a liquid down through the .50 barrel with the fine bit to act as a restrictor / capilliary.

Not a tat needle or inoculation gun (would have been my first guess). Anyway, Kiwi was close when he said fountain pen......but it is not from a fountain pen.
