along with being a watchmaker @ this shop, i also get the computers ready for sale. most of their former owners should be nowhere near a pc or even a mac. either spend hours removing porn and viruses or just spend 40 minutes running recovery.  i choose the latter option.

That there is why I don't work on PC's any more...

Got sick and tired of fixing the same people's PC's constantly because little Johnny shaZam! went and got more virii on it or started downloading porn or whatever... I kid you not that I would see the same customers two or three times in a month for exactly the same problem...

I'll stick to my infrastructure stuff now...
i cured many of them by charging low first time, then it went up. ( for same job ;) )

Glad I'm not the only fellow here that gets frustrated with other peoples incompetence.
I work alongside technicians that have been doing the same task for ten years and still don't know their job.
I expect the boss to be a moron, but NOT the technicians & craft workers.  >:(

There are definitely times when I do this... however mostly it's just expectation of basic competence and basic ability to think for themselves... common sense isn't so common any more...

On another note... very happy with my current jetting and slide mod's on the 450, she definitely is a little snappier on the throttle response  :thumb:

And I started pricing up the concrete and timber for the shed today...  :cookoo:

Nearly $200 just in materials for the concrete and that's mixing it myself... and doesn't include steel reinforcing either. Timber is going to be closer to $300 and that's just 70 x 35mm framing pine. I haven't even looked at cladding for the inside or outside, insulation batts, or the roofing material yet... and of course there's all the fixings like nails, dyna bolts, brads, etc.

So, you Brissie and South East folk... who's comin' on the 2nd June?

Oh, and Mister... feel free to say I told ya' so... Brisbane Motorcycles are quoting InsureMyRide "total loss" based on the fact they're too lazy to go source pricing on a replacement tail light and to get a panel beating quote on repairing the rear guard. So I'm back to the drawing board, wonder if Ozzy's workshop is ready for him to do assessments yet...

Call utility company to get electric in my name for my new place.  Electric company says that my new place doesn't exist.
Call property management company.  Tell them the story.  Property management company calls electric company.  Same result.  My place does not exist, but it does.

I was then told in not so many words that I will have free electricity.  Someone is paying the bill...not sure who.  The guy upstairs maybe?  :dunno_black:
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Sounds like a disease...

Looked at my tyres while washing it on the weekend... hmmm... front's a little low on tread, hopefully another 1500km's out of it to get me to June's pay packet... then it'll be both tyres replaced.

What to get? Commuter + weekend fun bike... pure road tyres this time rather than dual sports... I seem to wear the middle first as usual when commuting so I'm thinking some sort of dual compound would be the go... must be good in the wet of course.

Any suggestions? 100/90-18 up front, 110/90-18 on the back...

I've been told Pirelli City Demons for the sizes... but I'm not sure... really haven't looked at tyres for a looooooong time...

Yup, so you can ride around on the bike, but BM says "Nope, total loss". Prob cause one of Them would have then bought it from the Insurance Co for whatever and scrored a nice gem.

Don't wonder about Ozzy, call him and get the words direct  :thumb:

Really, the bloke who did it should just anti-up the money from his own pocket and then you both go your sep ways.
