GS500F stalls out while riding

Fuel starvation can be due to a dirty petcock. Jacob told us at the West Seattle Bike Cave that he had fuel problems. Then he opened up the frame petcock and cleaned out a lot of gunk and crap. After that, the frame petcock was good as new.

Interesting that people just don;t think of cleaning out that thing. I've also opened up a few and found them full of crap. Gas sitting in there will form sludge - just like anywhere else. Just as fuel lines and carbs need occasional cleaning, so does the frame petcock.

There was another overflow line that was pinched under the tank but how do I check the voltage regulator?     Now that I think about it the battery was low when the bike quit.
