The stock pegs are so large on the GS500F, wife if finding she's hocking up in them and they are staying up. You guys know oh any affordable peg options?

They remind me of an ogre's club!  I got some cheap ones from ebay for gs project.  My stock GS still wears them though.

Oh, what other bike model pegs would work on the GS500F? Because, there's a place close that might have more common bike pegs.

Lube the pivot points and they will spring back down.
Stock pegs in proper condition do not stay up.
Passenger ones do stay up because they have to. Rider pegs spring back down.

RodneyBR

I lubed them and the front ones are still staying up, very odd.

You need to grind one side of the pegs so they lift up.

doubt its somthing bent lol mine went down on both sides at a solid 35mph and the mount is blatantly torqued but they still want to stay flipped down unless i really kick them up...

My 02 pegs snap up in place about 45* from horizontal and stay there unless you snap them back down, they don't fall down by themselves and don't go up any higher. They snap up and snap down, spring action.  The old rusty ones that came on the bike need a fair amount of effort  to get them moving either way.  A new 07 low mileage peg assembly I put on the left side last summer moves very easily and snaps into the up or down position positively.

Never had much of a problem with them.  One pair of boots I had a few years back would pick a peg up occasionally until I got used to them, they had a pair of higher maybe an inch or so heels.  Can't ride a GS with 4" spikes on although I saw a gal riding a Hog that way at bike nite once.   :icon_lol:
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Did you grind the bottom edge so they lift?
