Got it. basically, a complete GS500 minus the frame and wheels. It even has a blue cap for the high beam indicator!
1995 motor with 3000 miles. It isn't even broken in yet!
He asked $200. I gave him extra because there is so much there that we will be able to use in the bike cave. I felt a little guilty at only $200. Carbs, ignition system, running motor, the test stand (heavy steel).

He said he has a couple friends with GS500's - one in Lynnwood and another near him. Looks like we will get new members to the West Seattle GS500 Club.

yeah true .. so long as the engine number dont end up on a 'watch list' ... doubt it...

how many people on here lately that have had engine problems and found replacement engines too expensive ... are right now going ...

Well, I was sleeping. Been busy with other things and haven't been watching CL.
2 friends alerted me  to the find: Jacob92 and the mechanic at West Seattle Bowl.
Glad my friends told me about the listing. It was a really great find. The seller was super nice and has older Hondas.
Got lots more parts now.
Maybe some karma korn is coming back to me for all the karma korn I've been giving out helping other GS500 owners?

Yes.  I upgraded to an 04 SV650n, and don't miss the GS at all. Just a better bike all around.  The only thing you really need to do is upgrade the suspension if you're looking for better performance.  Oh, and the community is pretty great too.  (Not as good as here, but still, very good).
