Yaaaay another brissy boy. Welcome
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Got big plans for my new yellow baby...new front end, trim the tail, new pipe, new rear shock....she's gonna be a beaut.

So mollo, sawubona, hello and dag sĂȘ from south africa.

Hello there folks.  My name is Jason, from just south of Pittsburgh, Pa.  I recently just sold my 2004 Suzuki DRZ400s and purchased a 2009 GS500F.  It's barely broken in, with only 984 miles when I bought it a couple of weeks ago.  Black, all stock.  I plan on doing some little things to make it "my own" like some red wheel stripes, maybe a Zero Gravity Sport Touring windshield, some saddlebags and trunk bag, white overlays for the guages and I'd like to put in some blue led backlights on the speedo and tach like i think I saw on here... I just have to look around a bit.  So far, I love this bike, and have gotten some good information from this site.  I hope that continues and at some point, I hope to be able to contribute with some of my own knowledge.

heck yeah man! check out the GS500 relay. Might be just up your alley to break it in

I'm from Reedsburg WI, am 52 and haven't been on this site for about 12 months.  Back when I first joined, one member said in good fun, you're not really a member until you post a picture of your bike.  Where is the appropriate place on this site to do that?  I've only been riding for a year now and the GS500F (2009) is my first bike.

johnson you can put a pic up in the general forums. There is no specific place. Or another spot is in the projects forum. I placed mine there.

Gordon, from London, United Kingdom.  Just picked up a 2004 GS500F (restricted).  Rather nice little bike, rather less poke than the FJ1200 and Triumph Sprint RS I've had before, but a more than adequate commuter for buzzing around London streets.

Looking forwards to picking up tips and tricks for nurturing this little bike from here.   :D :thumb:

Hi, Im Brian and I'm an alcho...........wait a minute. I'm Brian and I'm a bikoholic. Live in Oregon and sell sporting goods equipment for a living. Glad I found this site. I might could really use some help with my project GS500.

Courtice_GS500

Hey everybody

I'm Matt from Courtice,Ontario.
I picked up a blue 2002 gs500 a few weeks ago.

Bike is stock except for and intagrated LED headlight/turn signal wind screen and LED rear signals.

No serious mods yet just dropped a tooth on the front sprocket.

Just your basic maintenance so far but so many things to come.

Vance and Hines full exhaust to come, custom handle bar risers I'm designing currently and planning to machine on a slow day at work. PO half ass chopped the rear fender so that needs to be dealt with eventually.

For the present all I want to do is ride and enjoy if only Southern Ontario could have more than 2 days in a row without rain.

Integrated headlight/turn signals, LED rear signals, chopped tail, 15 t front, r6 throttle tube, Stainless Steel Delkevic 225mm shorty slip on, 20/60/132.5

Hey everyone. First post on this forum. I am from Houston Tx, just picked myself up a 2008 GS500f with lil over 5,000miles for $1,700. It was quite a steal so I couldnt pass up the offer. My first bike ever, im used to have 4 wheels lol. I dont have a license or anything yet, just barely learn how to ride couple years ago and taking my time practicing every weekend when skies are blue.

Alex_ms3

whats up everyone, I'm Alex, im from st louis and i just bought a 2007 gs500f. Everything on this bike is solid, it was dropped a couple times but theres hardly a mark (never dropped while riding i guess).
Only problem is that I have to rebuild the carbs. the kit is pretty cheap but im having a little bit of a hard time finding a how to. Could someone point me in the right direction?
also, tell me about valve adjustments. when should it be done and if its not done what possible damage can occur?

Hi all. I'm from North Bay, Ontario, Canada. I'm almost 50, been around bikes most of my life (except for a painful 20 year gap). I have a 1978 Honda CB550K which I really like but it has some issues that need sorting and it's a pain having to fix stuff everytime I want to go for a ride.
Anyway, I've been considering getting another bike. Something simple to maintain and fix.
I find this '97 Gs500e and the price was so low I couldn't resist. I've had it for 3 weeks now. It needs nothing, just push the button and go.
The PO had put the fairing on it. I don't like the way it looks and I'm considering removing it.
