Courtice .. in general im not a huge fan of aftermarket exhausts ... not against them!! .. just i dont usually bother changing unless something breaks in the first place.....

but that sounds good!! ... good job there chap!!

I agree. I've seen a bunch of That brand around eBay lately, but none installed on the GS until now. One thing you can't usually tell in a video like that is whether it is a lot louder than stock or just deeper tone. What are your thoughts on that?

Thanks Janx

Generally I'm not a fan of aftermarket cans however as you can see in the picture below the PO dropped the bike in his driveway and tore up the stock pipe.

That being said the sound of the new can might have brought me over to the dark side  :)

It's louder for sure but with the baffle in its not obnoxious by any means.
Personally I like the new tone.
It gives it a nice growl.

Rode it to work for the past 2 days, this morning while downshifting to a stop light it started making this weird squeaking noise. Sounds like it could be the clutch hanging up just a bit but I'm not sure. Definitely has to do with the engine rpm though. Any suggestions on where to start?

Last week I dug out my 02 wheels with 120/70 and 140/70 less than half worn Roadrider tires and put them back on.  I had been running the old 97 wheels with different tires.  Noticed the badly worn front caliper was even worse now so I ordered one from Adidas's favorite supplier Pinwall which is located far from Seattle right here in my own back yard.  It came Sat and I put it on yesterday and went for a test ride this morning and it was like brand new with hardly worn HH pads.  Came back and searched eBay for the rear caliper from Pinwall from the same 09 bike with less than 3k miles on it and bought it.  My rear caliper was even worse than the front one from splashing thru the winter salt water here in NE Ohio for 10 years.  Changed my front sprocket from stock 16T to a 15T while changing tires, that 140/70 rear RR tire is oversized, same diameter as a standard 150/70.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

well today i went into the garage as soon as i woke up to hopefully diagnose why my bike is SO FREAKIN RIDICULOUSLY LOUD... after adjusting the clutch cable and going on a test ride it doesn't even start now  :icon_sad: .  So for my bike i have started to call different shops in hopes they can diagnose it!  because i am too frustrated with it at this point.

Put some gas in it that it apparently didn't agree with, and rode it for 90 miles in 100°F heat. The bike started running real hot and started stumbling when I gave it throttle, so I opened up the choke to richen it up. That seemed to help, and hopefully get rid of that bad gas faster too.

I gave the bike the day off.  It's 100 degrees so i don't either of us would have enjoyed being out.

I've joined the Pirelli Sport Demon club. After 17,000km the original Bridgestone rear was well below legal and the front didn't have a lot left either.

I've decided that I really dig the two brothers can I put on my GS.   :thumb:
It's makes a nice grumbly growl with out being too loud.

Also a Public Service Announcement that harbor freight welders are lousy

Installed a set of old school barrel gum grips. Always loved these on old bikes so I thought what the heck.

newbie1993

New clutch lever, clutch cable and new stock left turn signal because I broke the original one
