Stripped My Clutch Perch...

Oh... I forgot about that. Mine is completely bypassed. Here are both switches side by side. Left is stock, right is GSXR.

The GSXR switch has a connector that goes with it, whereas ours is just pins. You could probably find the connector from a scrap yard and splice it in, or you could simply wire the two terminals to one another and bypass the switch. I'm not sure if the stock connectors will fit into the GSXR switch assembly properly.

I just tried test fitting the stock connectors into the GSXR switch. They will not fit with the black covers on them, and they're not long enough to fit securely in the switch. However, if you're handy with a dremel, you could cut off some of the material around the housing so the stock connectors will slide in (without the covers).

EDIT: If I'm looking at this correctly, the GSXR clutch switch WILL NOT work with our bike. Given the fact that my switch is bypassed by connecting both terminals, that means that the circuit connects when the clutch is pulled. The GSXR switch works in the exact opposite fashion. It disconnects when the clutch is pulled.

Here are the innards of the GSXR switch:

Ah damn, thanks for the descriptive information and the pictures. Looks like a lot of fiddling around!

I enjoy fiddling, so it's no biggie. And you got me interested in restoring my clutch safety system there for a bit lol. Sorry that it isn't an easy swap, but at least you know what you're getting into if you go this route. If you have any more questions about it, I'd be glad to help out.
