Well Slips! ... if you paid attention to the news your would know wouldnt you!!  :flipoff:

EJ has a reasonable excuse ... different country and timezones even!! ..

.. however .. QLD'ers being normally so 'we know farken everythin' .. should then in theory know what it is that pete refers to!! ..  :D

.... however .. for a clue ... you fix them .. nsw uses similar things .. i believe from context on radio that pete is therefore employed by the syd/state mass commute system not involving buses !!

You're safe EJ, not another railroader  :thumb:

It actually happened last week, work is moving all customer service and eBusiness sales roles to Melbourne to consolidate/centralise it. Sorta makes sense for the company but never good when 22 jobs are going to go bye byes...

I work for a web hosting company and unfortunately over the last 5 or 6 years the executives have made piss poor choices and have not innovated or invested in new and emerging technologies or attempted to keep ahead of the opposition, so now they find themselves culling staff numbers, selling the most profitable part of the business and... the best bit of all... the executives have stepped down as well.

Unfortunately it leaves the CFO as acting CEO... not good for a bean counter to be at the top in that situation!

I'm hopeful things turn around with a new CEO, but it's taking forever to get one and I suspect that it's going to be a matter of the best of a bad bunch of CEO applicants as noone probably wants to captain the sinking ship...

I've been there 6 years on the dot today, and if I hold out one more year then at 7 years I'm entitled to pro-rated long service leave... they can make me redundant in January 2015 and I'll be happy then

I work with a shaZam! load of awesome people who are brilliant, talented, smart, and good to work with but the company has just sucked them dry and some real good key people are now looking for opportunities elsewhere as well...

My bad then ....  :icon_rolleyes: ... Heard on the radio that state/city rail had let go 22 people .... Got my daily exercise and leapt to the conclusion that Pete ergo worked there ...

Must be the popular number this season I guess  :dunno_black:

Not much else to say really... except a little history lesson on Joh for them there Yanks who are unedumacated in regards to the history of his corruption and love of police enforcement against any form of opposition to his ideals... and why Campbell Newman most likely will end up even more notorious if not as long-lived in parliament... well hopefully not anyway...

Just when I thought I was beginning to understand the "inside chat" going on here I read this stuff.

It's OK though.
It is dark and bitter cold here in the Northeast USA so I'm gonna' go to Youtube and watch you Aussies ride around paradise for a while.

EJ, click the link on my earlier post and read about our previous dodgy politician here in Qld... and then think about the fact everyone is saying the new guy Newman is *WORSE*!!!

Flat tracking... now that would be some fun!
