Went to adjust the clutch. And I made a mistake.
Just a question, if I take the adjustment screw all the way out and off the bike would have I made a bad mistake?
:confused:

7k mile oil change and chain clean on a very nice morning.

Rode HUHSKY to the EuroMoto Show in Lynnwood. Met some Twinners there and UW bikers.
HUHSKY got snowed on!
Rode him home. Weather (typical) got warmer and drier as I approached West Seattle.
There was a used Bimoto for sale for $12750!
Lots of cool bikes. All European at this free show.
I think all the companies were there. Free test rides, but didn't feel like doing that in the snow and rain.

Just fitted a 17t front sprocket (found one by the way, thanks to the guys that answered my other thread) Just took it for a short ride to the shops, and to be honest could hardly feel any difference except in rpm/kmh in higher gears. If anything the bike felt a bit smoother, but that could have been me justifying the 150 bucks I spent (about $12). The chain/sprockets had about 8000Km on them (seems like only last month I fitted them!) so I hopefully I won't have premature wear issues with the chain. I also fitted a Michellin Pilot Street on Friday, so will be able to give some feedback on those as time goes on.

Made a copy of the V&H center stand stop for toogoofy.
I used a piece of thick, hard aluminum rack chassis so ignore the extra hole - it was already there.

I picked up 2 large bike covers from Ollie's Outlet in Hanover PA for $12 each. They are lightweight silver nylon. They fit my GS perfectly. They fit in a little bag and weigh a few ounces. Perfect for travel or just to keep the dirt off. If you have an Ollie's in your area go check if they have them. The brand name is Simoniz. I'm keeping one at work and one in my backpack. Can't beat $12 for a bike cover.
Why are you looking here?

OK, what a pain in the ass this has been,

first things first the Jardine Sardine system was fitted, without a single hassle or issue went straight in with new exhaust gaskets over the 1 week old ones (pics and a vid below)

its f%$king loud, like proper loud, obnoxiously loud, like my partner can hear me from 2 streets away at just above idle, at full noise she can hear me from a good KM away.

the jets were where the issues came in, the aussie bloke I found actually cant get them in. he has a shop and all but never got round to finishing it up, wated 3 days to hear back from him.

my local wrench man found a mob in the UK that said they could get them, so ordered a plether of different jets 3 different pilots, 3 diff mids and 3 mains 18 jets in total, that apparently got lost in the mail after a week of chasing them up, so we ordered a second set, a week later, nothing, so got in contact with the BUDDDAH (the mans a legend btw) sent a PM to organize some jets and then I got whisked away on a vacation and just got back today with a msg waiting, my jets from the merry old UK decided to rock up at the dealer so will be picking them up tomorrow, or something, and wack them in asap because the bike is as lean as a veterinarian bbq atm popping banging and all round having a jolly time.

needless to say f%$k ordering from EU again there's a reason there all bankrupt, when I start planing the next lot of mods next month I'll hit up our man in the USA for a set of jets for a lunchbox set up

the Jardine sound check

And the new exhaust we put on the old mans 650 Versys at the same time
You can run, but you'll only die tired.
If you hit it with a hammer and it doesn't fix it, you have an electrical problem

"Ok first things first im down 3 tequila shots, 2 jager shots and avout 4 ciders so if this doesnt make sence im sorry"

Took it out for a 118km distance night run .... Local ish roads ... Just for a de stress ... Adjusted the headlight up a bit (10kg less body weight over time makes a difference!) ...

And the last 6 or 7 Kms back just before home.... I actually got that smooth and flowing mojo going!!  :thumb:

Increased the pre-load on rear, now have to take it back 1 notch( went up 2 ). Aligned rear axal properly ( looks like the shop just tightened the chain side to take out the slack , got nearly 10mm of clean thread showing on the right hand side now :mad:) Cleaned and detailed her as well. :thumb:

Very busy couple of weekends in the West Seattle Bike Cave.

First we have to welcome our new member Larmish who moved here from Hawaii.

Zak got his bike running. He will post about the issues and what was wrong.

We rode Thumper a lot today. The sun came out.

Suzi is getting panniers and a new rear carrier. It is a Five Stars set. Turn signals relocated. License plate and helmet locks remounted on rear fender for a cleaner look and to make room for turn signals.

BrianRC did a lot
* New handlebars
* mirror extenders
* Wind screen
* R&G heated grips
* Valve adjustment
* Carb sync (it was perfect so no adjustment)

Cleaned some pistons in the ultrasonic cleaner. Looks like they came out OK.

Gorilla make progress reassembling his motor. He will post more about that.

Saturday I put a bit over 500km's on her with the Katana boys, then had to pull over on the way home and replace the main fuse after it died.

Today the indicator relay failed and I could only get a three pin auto one to replace it, so tonight I replaced that.

Pulled the pins out of the socket, added a new ground wire, improvised some insulation with some heatshrink, made a bracket, and all is now good again:

Ordered Givi Trekker cases for Suzi. They should fit on the Five Stars racks. If not, I'll make them fit.
Cool cases: full open or just the top flap.
Getting Suzi ready for road trips this summer. My mother is now at a home in Canyonville Oregon (was in Seattle and driving me insane - even more than Sledge does) so why not road trip to Oregon? Can stop at the adidas stores in Portland on  the way.

Found there are soft cases that can go inside the hard cases. In case I have to more permanently fasten the cases to the Five Stars hardware, the soft cases will be nice.
That is an advantage if I take out the soft cases when at the hotel or friends house, I still have the hard ones on the bike for a beer run.
I guess Suzi will become more of an SUV! Seems bluesmudge inspired be because he has Smudgy all decked out with cases.

Just installed my Jardine too and I agree. Maybe not obnoxious but awful close too it.

Took my baby out for a night ride through the hills near me. Didn't want to come home.

Oooppss. forgot to say checked air pressure in both tyres and brought them back up to where they should be. she's cornering like she's on rails now. :D

I am busy super slabbing it in an attempt to wear out the center of the rear tar.
The front is nearly new looking, rear is like a rag. Local roads with sharp corners and intersections etc are murder on the sides of the tar. Usually the tar is square ... now it looks like a triangle.
Cool.
