If not raining tomorrow, I'll ride HUHSKY to my dental appointment at the UW Dental Clinic then cruise around the campus to show her off.
HUHSKY IS NOT FOR SALE! I love her way too much.

Well, I did to a full tutorial on them.
Insure your bars are not bent because there is tight clearance. And if they got bent, they are bend inward. Though you can file new notches and pilot holes for controls and rotate them. I havethem on Suzi. Really no issues once I learned to keep my right thumb off the starter button area when doing a full hard right turn.

Finished the panniers for Suzi. Givi Trekker 33 liter cases.
Five Stars rack. I removed the SW Motech rear rack because the Five Stars is a set of rear and side racks. Still deciding what I want on the rear - a Givi or a soft case for daily use.
The Givi's lock on and pop off real easy (if you have the key for it)
Cases are cool - you can have them open a top flap (see one on right) or full open (left). Each case can be set for either way to open.
There are soft bags that go inside but they are not here yet.
I was happy that the Five Stars racks had all the correct mounting bits for the Givi cases (monokey mounting style)

That setup is SWEET. I'm guessing the pannier rack isn't something you can easily buy, right? Those panniers are also nice with the flip top vs side open design.

I love my GS but the lack of luggage options is what gets me.

Dinky:

I lucked out late one night and found Five Stars side racks for both the E and F models in Germany Ebay. Kappa and Givi mount the same.

You may have to search ebay.co.uk,  ebay.de  and ebay.nl

Five Stars closed shop a year ago. Some may still be available.

Also US distributors may have Givi and Hepco-Becker racks for the GS500F models.

So far this week I've ordered a new R/R (Polaris branded SH775 series type) and discovered my chain is completely shagged.

New chain and sprockets to be purchased tomorrow hopefully and will go on on Sunday.

Will have to wait a few weeks for the arrival of the R/R (prices here are obscene compared to the US).

I also need to do an oil and filter change... apparently the 450 likes to drink the Motul 5100 rather than just use it to lubricate spinning bits  :dunno_black:

57 deg yesterday here in CT so finally a decent day to ride!  Potholes are brutal this year but it helped for practice on swerving.  2 hrs was all I could squeeze in and just kept it local while getting to know each other again.  The bike is an '02 with just under 6k mi and is running great.

Beautiful day in Washington so we decided to get a group ride going and ended up getting about 20 people to go out and ride the twisties near Mt Rainier. Ended up being almost 60 I think with clear skies

This was my first twisty mountain ride on this thing, was such a blast! I managed to stay close to all the guys with the liter bikes, and was in the front for the whole thing. Also my new Motegi suit is freaking awesome, super easy to move around on the seat while switching positions through the corners, and very comfortable when in an aggresive position. We had two guys go down, both on Yamahas... They learned their lesson, haha jkin. No body got hurt, damage totaled to a broken blinker on one bike, and a broken gear shifter on the other, and of course, scratches.

Heres some pictures of the meet up and some gorgeous views I saw when I left the pack.

This was when I left the pack to go home, had to stop and snap some pictures in a couple places.

Quality kinda sucks cause I only had my phone. Camera would have been too bulky for the suit.

Today was a good day lol. Totaled just shy of 300 miles, a whopping 275.
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.
