Curious as to what the going price is for a used engine? I want to sell my old engine that has been sitting in the house. I have no space to work on it and i may as well just sell it as is. The bike has top end issues. Bottom end intact. What should I sell it for? 30,000 plus km.

Well I just paid $750 for a 2009 engine with 2500 miles on it to replace mine that kicked a valve shim and destroyed everything.. So I'd probably say thats the max right there.
NEVER EVER EVER use an aftermarket valve shim!!

So, basically... you are selling a bottom end with 30k kms, and some 'further dis/assembly required'... Assuming the top-end is not usable, and you are selling as it sits now:

Depending on the area and market, the right buyer may pay as much $350 for just a good bottom end - but I'd hope to get $200 for it, expect to get $100 offers, and shoot for the first potential sale at or above $150.  Just my take on it, if I had that situation in my area and couldn't wait more than a season to sell.
