So here is what I'm thinking.
Meet at West Seattle Bowl around 10am,since bowling was a HUGE part of Pats life and he lived just a few blocks away.
Then we will ride as a group down to the ferry and head on over to Vashon Island. We can then ride to the Palouse Winery where I think Pat was turning into when the accident happened.Maybe we can all have a glass of wine and toast Pat who touched so many !!.

:dunno_black: wish I could, simply not possible.
I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

Kiwiinoz

I cant say I ever met the guy, But reading back through the threads he seems like a awesome bloke, with a wealth on knowladge. He helped me change the sparkplugs and do a oil and filter change last week. If i were over there id come along. Unfortunately im in Australia.

Making the memorial ride an annual event is a great idea and I'll do my best to be there, although I have recently relocated to Portland OR. I know there are a lot of people who will show up once they learn about the ride.

NortwestRider

I hope so,he meant a lot to a lot of people.

I'm in! I just got Audrey running again after my wreck in September. I will go even if nobody else does.

NortwestRider

Ok brother,so far it's me and you .

Well, I might have been premature with that statement about Audrey being ready for the road. She almost left me stranded in north Seattle today. I hope its an easy fix but the long sit hasn't been kind to her.

Matty206

Count me in. I spent a bunch a time with Pat in the months before he died. He deserves a memorial.

NortwestRider

Good

Ok so I have decided that this ride should wait for better weather, after all Pat never rode in rain ( on purpose).
I will post up a new date soon.

Super-lurker here checking in, maybe to resurrect the thread??

I still cannot believe what happened -- I live in Seattle, and I had bought my GS a few years ago. The seller gave me Pat's info, and i immediately utilized his wealth of knowledge and work space to get her into great shape. Then after a long, busy winter, I finally remembered to log back into this forum, when I saw the news...

Long story short, count me in for a group memorial ride whenever in the next couple months, no matter how few else can attend...

I would also like to try and find some Seattle riding buddies in general, as I have only been solo for the last few years and 10,xxx miles.

RIP Adidas, you will be missed....

Hey de-lectronic, I'm in Bremerton and work in Seattle.  Have a couple other friends I ride with semi-frequently who also live on the peninsula.  Perhaps we can coordinate a meet up at some point?

pats brother lives in the portland area as does his mother. i still cant let him go. having a hard time with this still. but i have a pair of pats riding gloves and one of his pistons. those 3 things mean the world to me. i passed pats oscilloscope on to the buddha. i knew he could put it to use. i still send pat an occasional pm. this ride i hope someone records it. i may take a bus up there one day for closure. maybe meet up with some of yall. may do it next year on this ride

I hope you can make it up to Vashon eventually; I think seeing the crash site would bring you a lot of closure. I know it did for me.

I frequently find myself thinking about Pat and I really miss the guy. He is the main reason I haven't sold my GS. I could use the money from selling it, but I know I would have never considered selling the bike if Pat was still alive.
