Who's your prime minister?
Oh, he's the one on the beach with jug ears and budgie smugglers telling the women they should all be bare foot, pregnant, and doing the ironing...

A political disaster.

I guess electing counterproductive dysfunctional leaders is something all humans do. World-wide insanity.

The best part is that the Prime Minister, who wears budgie smugglers and reckons women's rights should be taken back to the 1950's is also the Minister for Women.

And we have the balanced and completely unbiased media to thank for his successful campaign. Thanks Rupert Murdoch!

peteGS

Hahah yes very true!!! I had forgotten that...

And yes, go look at all of our media and you'll think he's a legend... then listen to what he actually says when he opens his mouth and, well... yeah the truth is very scary...

Oh well. At least old Bronnie finally caved to public pressure. She can't understand why she can't spend more than $800K in one year on travel expenses and not get away with it.

And we f%$king wonder why the budgets are all up shaZam! creek. Crazy dried up worn out old fuckwits are spending it on helicopter rides and private jets. They're earning 200k a year on government money, make them pay for their own f%$king flights.

So glad she finally pulled the pin, only wish it was sooner! And they have no clue yet try to say they understand what the average Joe Blow is going through... yeah right!

True that. I'd like to see how well they themselves go on an average wage with all the shaZam! we have to pay for and deal with at the moment.

I should get into politics. I'm not corrupt or white enough though, they wouldn't let me in the door.

Oh no! Mentioning politics stymied the thread.

OK then... Its August here in the Eastern USA. The hottest month of the year. It is also the least ridden month of the year.

Have I ever mentioned that the hotter it gets, the worse my bike runs?
But NOT the GS.
The GS500 always ran great (thanks to special TOP SECRET Buddha jetting).
No, it's the DL1000 that sucks wind in the heat.
I have the stage-one fueling set about 15% richer than stock in the idle to 10% throttle band. That probably doesn't help matters on a hot day.

Over & Out!  And barely a mention of politics. (somebody spell-check "barely" ?)

Well I had to lean the wee beastie out, mid main down one size and main down two sizes... flat spot up to about 1/4 throttle once warmed up is nearly gone but I've yet to see if the main is fixed.

Had a mate follow me on Saturday and when I had her cranked at full throttle with the rev's up she was bogging down again, and apparently my mate was getting a face full of unburnt fuel and there were puffs of black smoke... think I made her a little rich  ;)

And sorry Yama, I'm clueless on that one!  :dunno_black:

Only thing I could suggest from experience many years ago might be... are you running 4 ohm speakers on a stereo designed for 8 ohm speakers? Or do you have two 4 ohm speakers hooked up to the same speaker outputs in parallel? That would make them effectively 2 ohm speakers... those are known items to overheat stereos and either (in the good old days before protection circuits) blow them up or make them cut off if protected.

So PeteGS... How rare is your GS450 out there in Aussie land?
How many other bikes like yours do you typically see cruising around over there?

Yea I know these, I had those bookshelves long time ago and I have heard the floor standers.
Polk sub also I have heard, though I prefer to run phantom but that cos my B&W's will hit 10 hz no problem. They have a FS of 19 hz. They will do that right out of the amp with my dinky 1 st order XO goobered up between the pcs8 sub and the fcm8.

Cool.

EJ, it's pretty rare! Usually the older bikes I see are Honda 750's or Kawasaki Z's, although there are a few GSX1100's about (similar era to mine), and of course mostly I ride with the Kat guys so I see a number of those :D...

Typically when I go to the Laverda Concours there's a GSX250 or two and maybe a GS450 in the parking lot, although this year I missed out on looking due to time constraints.

Aside from that, I don't ever see a GS450 anywhere...

Oh, and I have brand new front brake pads in after last night's effort as well as cleaned/greased caliper axles and fresh brake fluid  :thumb:
