The question is which side of the sprocket should point outward? When the sprocket is installed like on the second photo the chain produce some klank klank klank noise on the front sprocket when i drive slow or i put the bike in neutral while moving.
When the sprocket is installed like on the first photo the noise is gone. I bought the bike with these sprockets and chain, they are no name/no brand. And i don't know are they correctly installed

I can't see any pics, but I'm pretty confident in saying that the flange on the front sprocket should face inward when installed.

Sorry for the images,i think now you can see them. So it should be installed like on the first photo? The flat side pointing outside?

I'm prepping to do my chain and sprockets here very soon, and yes, everything I've read up so far says flat side out, flange in.

Just did this with JT sprockets and yes flange to the inside and it's way easy to do this swap.  :thumb:
